13.01.2022 Updates about some cool improvements at the Sydney FADs from DPI.: Easing The Squeeze At Sydney’s FADs! Keen bluewater fishers know that the DPI FADs program is incredibly popular. During the peak summer fishing season, legions of keen fishos regularly head out to our network of 30 FADs along the NSW in search of acrobatic dolphinfish and other pelagic sportfish.... In order to ease the squeeze at heavily utilised FADs off Sydney, DPI this week installed three new buoys in close proximity to the buoys already deployed at Sydney East (The Peak), Botany Bay Wide (12 Mile) and Sydney South (east of Port Hacking). These additional buoys will reduce congestion and provide even better fishing at these popular FAD locations. 06.01.2022 It seems clear that our civic duty is to self isolate as much as possible. We don't feel comfortable doing anything to encourage extra non-essential trips out, when we all need to be staying put at home for the greater good of all. We don't want to make a few extra bucks at the cost of someone's grandparents safety.... To that end we have made our boats and courses unavailable until things start to improve with treatments, vaccines or eradication. We are sure you understand - thanks for your patience.
