25.01.2022 Seriously sad iPad. A swollen battery can not only cause incredible damage to a phone or iPad, it can be dangerous too. Lithium-Ion batteries have been known to explode in flames! In this case the iPad screen was destroyed. However, all is not lost! I fully expect to rebuild this iPad successfully. Watch this space!

24.01.2022 There's been an incredible number of phones presented lately with lifting screens. This is due to aging batteries expanding and lifting the screens, in most cas...es permanently damaging the screen. In this case the screen survived, but it was days away from failing. 23.01.2022 The iPhone 6 has some 57 screws in it. They are engineering masterpieces! But, with the rigours of everyday life, they can become loose, or even fall out. 22.01.2022 What rhymes with "Phones Fixed"? "Drones Fixed", of course! This DJI Mavic Pro (a stunning piece of engineering) suffered the less attractive effects of gravity, but she's flying now!!

21.01.2022 I'm a huge fan of using tempered glass screen protectors on touchscreen devices. And this is why... They are designed to break before the display breaks depending on the severity of the impact. With the iPad pictured it shows exactly what they are meant to do. In this case something was dropped on the iPad screen but the screen protector absorbed most of the shock of the impact, shattering on the corner, while the devices actual touchscreen and display were left unscathed. By having me install the screen protector the owner has just save themselves hundreds of dollars. Whenever I'm repairing a touchscreen device for a customer I always ask them if they would like one of these fitted. I'll bet this particular customer is very glad they said yes!!

21.01.2022 This used to be an iPhone 6. What a mess!! Dr MobiFIX spent 90 minutes, cleaned it out and replaced a bunch of missing bits and now she's good as new!

19.01.2022 Great customer service is about exceeding expectations where possible. For me, I try to return your device in the best condition that I can. For example, when I repair a screen I clean out the inside of the device, tighten any loose screws and also clean the charge port. Doing this helps to prevent other nasty little problems from occurring. It's like giving your phone a birthday!

18.01.2022 Never in more than three years of repairing mobile devices have I seen this. I am repairing a device that was supposedly "fixed" by a repair shop in which they have used SUPERGLUE to affix the screen. Makes my blood boil!!!! This has all but destroyed their iPad Air - but I'm up for the challenge. More pics as we progress ...

16.01.2022 This new rose gold iPhone 6-S repair was incredibly satisfying - came to me in a plastic bag with a 5mm bend in the middle. Returned to the customer in "as new" condition and working like a charm!! MobiFixed!!

11.01.2022 I'm seeing more and more of these... iPhones with batteries that are swelling up. In this case the battery had swollen do much that the increased pressure inside the phone caused the screen to shatter. Yowza! Still, a bit of care, attention and a new battery and she's MobiFIXED.

09.01.2022 Have you experienced screen separation before? If you have, this is a manufacturing fault that should be covered by your warranty. We provide a 1 year warranty on all our parts and labour, so as long as there is no other damage to the screen, like chips or cracks, you know you can have it replaced. If you are only offered a 3 month warranty by another repairer it means they don't have faith in the quality and durability of their parts. They may be able to charge less for the repair, but there is a reason for that!

08.01.2022 Now this was unexpected... This is what happens to the earpiece speaker of a Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini in the hands of someone that works with metal. The Earpiece Speaker has a magnet that attracts the metal dust - kinda like the Death-Star's tractor beam!! The good news - MobiFIXED!

08.01.2022 This iPad Mini came to me with terrible damage to the screen and particularly the corners of the aluminium frame. At one of my collection agents stores, staff said that "there was no way I could fix that!" Out with my secret repair tools, a bit of magic and... ...MobiFIXED!

06.01.2022 The words "Cheap" and "Quality" are mutually exclusive and don't exist together when it comes to iPhone/phone or iPad/tablet repairs. This is a great example - a "Cheap" repair done at a repair booth which simply fell apart! The touchscreen and display separated from the frame, causing the display to fail and requiring replacing. When I opened this one up I found screws and other key components simply missing! Yup - AWOL. Anyway, sorted this one out using high quality parts that are backed up with a 1 year manufacturers warranty. Customer is chuffed too!! Yay :)

05.01.2022 This Samsng Galaxy Note 4 had been dropped from the roof of a car then run over multiples times before being found by the owner. The display was pulverised. Some time in the MobiFIX surgery and good as new!
