25.01.2022 Today marks the anniversary of the beginning of Mynx Hair Design... 12 years ago today, I opened my business without a single client - running on blind faith that my skill & love for utilising hairdressing to help people look & feel beautiful & special would be enough to build a successful salon business! It's a FACT that most businesses FAIL within the first 5 years - Mynx Hair Design - thanks to my countless beautiful salon guests has defeated the odds and is still standin...g, defiantly staring down the year we all nearly lost our minds! 2020 has been a horrendous year for all regardless of what you do for a living. I WILL NOT let it defeat me! To ALL my beautiful salon guests who have passed through my salon doors over the past 12 years, I cannot thank you enough for your love & support. My phone is blowing up - there is so much for me to organise & my anxiety is THROUGH THE ROOF I am busily scheduling appointments for you all so please be patient as I will contact you as soon as I can to offer you available time slots.... Please be patient with me - I am a one-woman-show and while I want to look after you as quickly as possible, I need to take care of my health too. If I burn out, NO ONE gets their hair done. I haven't coloured my own hair or had a haircut since before the first lockdowns in March - I promise you will not die if you don't get in the very first day I'm open. 17.01.2022 Last night was my last shift in the salon for a while... I was truly hoping it wasn't going to come to this, but it's with great sadness and distress that I have be forced to close the salon due to the Stage 4 Restrictions imposed upon us by the State Government. These restrictions have made it ILLEGAL for me to perform ANY hairdressing services during Stage 4 - this means working mobile is NOT an option ... It looks to be around 6 weeks - so that's mid September... let's hope that will be enough and then we can all get on with our lives again. Therefore, I MUST emphasise that EVERY SINGLE member of your household must be 100% healthy for me to deliver my mobile services, irrespective of if they are the client having their hair done or not!... I am working VERY hard to PROTECT every single one of my clientele from ANY transmittable illness so I WILL NOT TOLERATE coming to your home if someone residing there has been unwell. We are all in this together, and as important as having a hairdressing appointment may be to you, the HEALTH of everyone else will remain my highest priority. 11.01.2022 Happy Friday Peeps It's my last day of Mobile Hairdressing But... The salon is re-opening ... I'm super excited to welcome you back to the salon with ALL services available from Wednesday 3rd June! I will be following all the applicable Government guidelines with strict hygiene and cleaning practises (as usual) and I will be doing my very best to make sure everyone is respectful of the new rules to ensure the safety of not only you, my gorgeous salon guests, but also myself and our families. Therefore, if you or ANY member of your household are feeling unwell I would appreciate if you rescheduled your appointment for when you are all 100% healthy! Things WILL be a little different - but everyone's safety is my highest priority! The salon hours have changed, and for the time being, I will be trading 9am-5pm Wednesday-Friday. New social distancing rules have resulted in reduced customer capacity within the salon so please don't bring extra people with you to your appointment. I have introduced the application of hand sanitiser upon entry to the salon. Also, due to my reduced hours, I will be working by appointment ONLY - no walk-ins. Appointments can be made over the phone on 59621100 with online bookings coming soon! I just know you'll be just itching to get back in the chair and get your mop of hair chopped off and to have those roots coloured again! I am doing my absolute best to fit all my regular clients in first, so please be patient with me. PLEASE resist that urge & I'll sort you right out as soon as we are allowed to trade again - I PROMISE PLEASE for the love of God DO NOT buy hair 'DYE' from online stores such as wish...they can't even get a dress right I have NO IDEA what type of chemicals are in these 'products' and what they are capable of doing to your scalp or hair - chemical BURNS are REAL y'all! ...
