11.01.2022 New online form on 14 November for the following visas: - Skilled - Recognised Graduate visa (subclass 476) - Temporary Graduate visa (subclass 485) applicants.... A new electronic application form will be introduced for the Skilled - Recognised Graduate visa and Temporary Graduate visa on 14 November 2020. If you do not submit your application before this date with the old form, your application will be set to a status of 'discontinued' in ImmiAccount. You will not be able to open it again. You must then start a new application to apply for your visa.



05.01.2022 PTE Testing centres will open again in Melbourne CBD from 2 November 2020. All test centres will follow strict COVID-19 health guidelines. In order for PTE Test centres to comply with official requirements, and to protect test takers and test administrators, there are restrictions on the number of test takers in each session. 04.01.2022 MANDATORY QUARANTINE All travellers arriving in Australia are required to quarantine for 14 days at a designated hotel. Travellers are now required to cover the cost of this mandatory quarantine, with the charges reportedly ranging from AU$3,000 to AU$5,000.

03.01.2022 The Government has started trialling one-on-one Australian Citizenship ceremonies via secure video-link. This initiative will enable people to continue to become Australian citizens during the COVID-10 crisis. This will only be available for those who have already had their Citizenship application approved and were waiting for a ceremony.... Applications for Australian Citizenship can still be lodged as normal. The Department of Home Affairs has stated that it will continue to process these applications. Due to the COVID-19 crisis, the Citizenship interview and test stage of process is being put on hold. 03.01.2022 - The Federal Government has announced a new Subclass 408 visa pathway designed to assist certain visa holders during the COVID-19 crisis, and also to support critical industries that are experiencing a skill shortage.... ? The COVID-19 Pandemic event visa is only available to people who meet a specific set of criteria. An applicant must: - Be onshore; and - Either have 28 days or less remaining on their current visa OR their substantive visa expired less than 28 days ago; and - Be working in a 'critical sector' such as healthcare, disability and aged care, childcare and agriculture during the COVID-19 pandemic. ? The Subclass 408 visa stream is designed to allow holders of temporary visas who are engaged in, or have the relevant skills, to undertake critical work relating to supply of essential goods and services related to COVID-19. This visa allows holders to: - Remain in Australia if they have no other visa options and are unable to depart Australia due to COVID-19 travel restrictions - Remain in Australia to assist in critical sectors including healthcare, disability and aged care, childcare and agriculture during the COVID-19 pandemic. Specifically, they have stated that the following data will include: - Address history for visa applicants and sponsors. - Contact history for visa applicants and sponsors. - All visa grants. - Visa grant status by point in time. - Migration agents (visa application preparer who assisted or facilitated the processing of the visa). - Address history for migration agents - Contact history for migration agents. - All international travel movements undertaken by visa holders (arrivals and departures). - Sponsor details - Education providers (educational institution where a student visa holder intends to undertake their study). - Visa subclass name.
