Thankyou to my sensational suppliers particularly those independent artists or family run businesses that design and make their own wares in Australia. I was proud to stock your gorgeous designs and to support Australian Made. To the beautiful girls that helped me on my rare day off, I am forever indebted. My Shack was always in good hands. I fear bricks and mortar retail is suffering greatly in this crazy online world we live in and we MUST support our local independent family operated retailers NOW or we are going to become a bland, boring, community full of sweat shop same same products. Quality, diverse products delivered with genuine customer service is the experience that I prefer. It is also imperative to educate and act to eradicate plastics from our environment to ultimately help save our marine life and oceans. This we can all act upon. Take 3 for the Sea. Eliminate single use plastics or coffee cups. Remember your reusable bags. So after a tough gig and a few tumbles, I have made it to the finish line. Phew! 08.01.2022 Our friends over at @soulsurfing_pmq posted this image of this magnificent mollusc they spotted yesterday these little guys known as Nudibranchs feast on the stinging cells of blue bottles to avoid predation and transfer these to their wings which can give them the ability to sting. I have never seen one although my only justification is that I avoid the beach during a blue bottle armada ~ my eyes are now wide open . . . . My Shack is open today 10-2pm.
