19.01.2022 Australia’s COVID-19 economic recovery, will be a skills led recovery! Yesterday, I visited South Metropolitan TAFE’s Rockingham campus to speak with studen...ts undertaking their pre-apprenticeship in tiling. The Morrison Government has committed almost $7 billion this financial year to Australia’s vocational education and training sector. This includes the $1.2 billion Boosting Apprenticeship Commencements Program which will provide a 50% wage subsidy for up to 100,000 new apprenticeships and traineeships. Businesses of any size, in any industry and any geographic location will be eligible for the subsidy until 30th September 2021. #Skills | #EconomicRecovery | #Jobs



16.01.2022 The Australian Government is partnering with BHP to create upskilling and reskilling opportunities for up to 1000 people in regional areas, as part of the Future of Work partnership. Education and training will be provided to equip workers with the skills needed to adapt to the changing nature of work in the mining sector.
