Chemically, its a really nice, small molecule, which means when you put it on the skin, it can penetrate pretty readily. It also helps with the absorption of all your other actives you may be using. It's primary function is to exfoliate the skin by "ungluing" dead skin cells fro...m each other. Amazing for acne prone skin, increasing collagen and increasing skin radiance, it is a must for all skin that needs a hit of brilliance. But becareful, glycolic is still an acid and can come in different pH levels. Ideally you want a pH low enough to be effective but high enough that it won't cause any burns.
