20.01.2022 This Fridays outfit is all about embracing the inner rock chic in you and what better way to do it by using a graphic tee- shirt as the hero piece especially when its of my absolute fave-rocker - #johnnycash bought this tee from the girls at #perlu and couldnt believe my eyes when I saw it Today Im wearing it with an embroidered lace skirt over the top of my trusty, comfy @ASOS jeans (I love wearing skirts, kimonos, slips and dresses over jeans). I feel so comfortable in this look, feel really happy wearing it. The dominant colour is orange which is highlighted in my skirt and I chose the tee-shirt because it has hints of orange in it which ties it all together. And of course a deep tangerine lipstick to finish off the look

In fact I had never even seen the inside of a gym until a year ago when I realised that I needed to take care of my health and my body. So my husband and I decided to team up and hire a personal trainer. Lets face it, we needed one, cause the only time youd see me running is if a serial killer was chasing me A year later I reached my target and the results are amazing. I cant imagine life without him and so happy that my husband can now find his six pack at the front of the fridge rather than where it was before, deep down the back I feel so much better about myself. 15.01.2022 Getting serious about the gym and working out started way before 2020 for me and although its been a long journey Im only now starting to feel stronger and more confident about my body. Ive always hated exercise, and those who know me would laugh at the notion of seeing me at the gym, but my biggest motivation to start, apart from the heath benefits was purely selfish And thats basically to fit into my clothes!! I got down on myself when I couldnt zip my jeans up a...nymore and because of my job and the fact that I love clothes A LOT! I couldnt bare to have them sitting in my wardrobe knowing that theyre too small for me. I also hate feeling uncomfortable in clothing (except heels! my feet could literally fall off but Id still wear them ) so I decided to finally do something about it. My hubby comes training with me and we share the cost of a PT (thanks @waynept ). We are feeling now and cant live without it. Whats your motivation for staying fit? 15.01.2022 The fastest way to kill this gorgeous aqua colour is to wear it with black. For example if I’d worn black elongated pants with this outfit it would have just killed the look By opening up your imagination and wearing colour with colour you look more interesting and more self assured. Although wearing the wrong colour combination can have the opposite effect! If your favourite colour is blue for example, navy blue might make your dark circles under your eyes even darker whereas a bright cobalt blue could make your eyes pop. 15.01.2022 LETS TALK BODY SHAPE; how to make short legs look longer: I sympathise with you if youve been dealt the short leg card, unlike boobs, there is yet a surgery for increasing leg length Im afraid. But rather than living with them there is a way to hide them. Nobody will ever in a million years guess what is hiding underneath your long line jacket and flared pants. Whatever you do stay away from tight figure hugging pants as they are only going to expose the truth! And any dre...sses that are too tight around the bottom will confirm that your bottom is too close to the floor (oops soz ) Think of wearing a wrap dress over long trousers that flare out a bit - this will disguise how short your legs actually are as the trousers are shielded by the dress. Also wear longer skirts that are cut on the bias but flare out from your hips to give the illusion you have legs for days - wear it with a wedge or medium to high heel to add height, skirt worn just below the knee with a sleek boot will also do the trick. Break up your torso with layered tops which will automatically make your legs appear longer. There are soooo many tips and tricks to help you!!! 12.01.2022 HOW TO WEAR IT: todays dreary weather calls for a statement piece. A beautiful statement piece can elevate your look from good to wow! It adds interest and you will most likely be the receiver of compliments all day by wearing it. I usually like to add some punch to my outfit if Im wearing black or wearing a basic monochrome combination thats understated to allow the piece to stand out on its own. It doesnt necessarily need to be blingy either, it could be an interesting shoe, an embroidered or colourful bag - something that has an eye-catching element. If chosen well, a good statement piece will be timeless, like this coat Im wearing in the pic. So just before you step out of your house today ask yourself.. what can I add to this outfit that will make me shine. Then put it on and own it

10.01.2022 WHAT TO WEAR; Do you constantly ask the question is my bum big in this?, if you do, youre most likely a pear/triangle shape. And if someone dare answer yes then you probably insist on wearing clothes that accentuate your butt. So if you carry weight at the side of your hips it is almost nearly impossible to find pants to fit because pear shapes usually have a notable waistline leaving you with gaping fabric around your waist! Right? So whatever you do, do not buy tapered... trousers or bias cut skirts unless you know how to style them using a technique called illusion dressing. The best pants for you are wide leg or flared, even palazzo pants - why you ask? because they have the power to make your hips look invisible reducing them to insignificance. The best skirts are A-line - simple. So before you step out the door ask yourself.. have I made the problem disappear, and if you havent then step back inside and fix it See more

08.01.2022 Today’s #throwback to last weekend’s amazing engagement party where my beautiful niece @emilyaud and my spunky new ‘soon to be’ nephew @markdibar celebrated the start of their future together. This outfit reminds me of of the joy colour can bring. I felt so happy in this dress with sparkly bag to match and have been really drawn to the colour orange lately When you wear a burst of colour you can instantly uplift the spirits of those around you. 05.01.2022 HOW TO WEAR IT: BAGS it’s so easy to ruin an outfit with the wrong bag. When my clients first start out on their style journey with me, it takes a lot of polite but patient convincing that one bag does not suit all occasions. You’d be surprised how many assume that one bag fits all. For example in winter, heavy dark coloured bags look perfectly fine teamed with a coat, but would you put it with a summery flowered dress? No. Unfortunately we can never get away with one ‘us...eful’ bag. So if you’re one of those girls that owns a navy practical shoulder bag, let’s go shopping. 05.01.2022 From what my clients tell me, looking for a new pair of jeans is one of the most stressful shopping experiences we have to endure (its probably up there on the stress odometer with buying a wedding gown). There are so many different styles, brands, fits, sizes, washes, to distress or not distress? Its a total minefield. And I guess because its probably the most worn piece in your wardrobe, you want to get it right. The perfect pair of jeans can make you feel confident, sex...y and even improve your mood thats right, the perfect pair of jeans can be, yes, Ill say it, life changing. Remember the old Levis 501s? They were my holy grail. When I put them on, I felt like suddenly I had the perfect canvas to be who I wanted to be If I wanted rock chick, Id team them with my rocker chick Kiss diamante tee shirt (yes I had an original one given to me by Gene himself) and some stilettos. When I wanted Parisian chic, I would grab my black turtleneck ribbed sweater, beret and slap on some red lipstick, then scream down the road in my beaten-up Fiat 500 whilst listening to Edith Piaf. If I wanted to feel grungy, Id wear them with my Cyndi Lauper Tee, my Adidas Romes and my freshly permed um hair. They were always the perfect anchor for my look, and they were built hard to wear and the most expensive piece in my wardrobe My undying love for them makes me want to relive the dream. Getting back to the reason for this blog, finding this life changing pair of jeans isnt always easy, because not only do we all come in different shapes and sizes, the perfect pair of jeans must be perfect for our body shape, not to mention our changing body shape. 01.01.2022 HOW TO WEAR IT: Make the colour red work for you. When was the last time you wore red? I bet you had to pause to think about that, unlike black or navy. Red is a colour that has impact and many shy away from it as it can draw too much attention. Lets face it, if you wear red people will notice you, whether its a bag, lipstick, top, shoes or pants. And its more than likely, especially if youve teamed it with another chic colour, that you will be complimented on it. The maj...ority of my clients love the colour red but most dont know how to wear it. If youre too shy to wear it as the dominant feature then you can team it in a subtle way by wearing a red accessory or you can make a bolder statement with the color. Whatever your comfort zone with the color red, there is a way to add it to your wardrobe for everyone. Surprisingly its a colour that goes with a lot! Some interesting combos are red with neutrals such as beige/camels (my fave) and animal print, its completely acceptable if not effortlessly chic to wear it with pink, another interesting combo is wearing it with the colour teal, or purple. Grey and red is also a very sophisticated combo. Sometimes its much better to play with different colour combos rather than choose the obvious like black or white. Also red accessories can give an otherwise monochrome or neutral outfit a major lift!
