24.01.2022 Christmas parties, dinners, squeals of excitement Christmas Day - while this is all part and parcel of Christmas time antics. We mustn't forget that this can be extremely stressful for our pets. It’s important to remember that even the friendliest, most patient dog or cat can become a danger when stressed, particularly to children so be mindful of your pet and how they are coping during the height of activity. Tips to help your pets this Christmas period: - Create a ''safe ...space'' in a part of the house that is cool and calm where your pet can retreat to if they begin to feel overwhelmed with too many people or sounds. - Pay attention to your pet’s body language and if you notice your pet showing signs of anxiety including excessive yawning and lip licking in dogs take them away to their ''safe space'' so they can relax. - Try not to spoil your pet too much with human food , no matter how much they might be begging for it! This can upset their stomachs and can be toxic to their overall health. If your pet already displays heightened anxiety, make an appointment with us today to discuss treatment options

22.01.2022 Weve been seeing lots of new puppies and kittens in the clinic this month and were reminding them all that now is the best time to introduce your pet to toothbrushing. Our pets need to be trained to tolerate having their teeth brushed from a young age as brushing is one of the key factors in reducing the risk of dental disease. Not sure how to go about brushing your pets teeth? Come in and talk to one of our experienced Veterinarians.
21.01.2022 Meollo, Moe here, Im basically the CEO of the clinic if you didnt already know - MOE stands for Master Executive Officer... Or something like that. Id like to remind our clients that our top priority is the health and safety of our clients, patients and staff during this strange time. I have strategically arranged hand sanitizer for client use throughout the clinic - the waiting room, consult rooms, the litter tray, normal places. And I have been enforcing social distancin...g by randomly swatting at the Vets and Nurses when they exceed the 1.5m distancing requirement, even before restrictions started. Hand hygiene remains of paramount importance- I clean myself for at least 2 hours after anyone has touched me with their hands. If there is anything else I can do to make everyone feel safer, please let me know and I can delegate this work to one of my staff. Keep purrsitive. See more
