Being a big group, we may not be able to answer all of your queries during the session, so if any of you have any questions regarding Yog-asanas, Pranyama, Meditation please feel free to ask here. 23.01.2022 MY BLOG # 5 River....flow of emotions...The Ganga (the Ganges) Sitting beside river Ganga is one of the most memorable and beautiful experience I had. Initially, I thought of taking a stroll, go to Rishikesh local markets, roam around, absorb the Rishikesh vibes and then may be relax for few minutes at Ganga. So I went out and just thought of going to Ganga first and then do the rest. ( I know myself, i wont sit quiet and just sit for along time ). So I went to the bank of ...river Ganga and started watching it closely. Water currents going strong though the weather was pleasant and calm. I started thinking...from where is this water coming? and where is it rushing down to? What is its agenda? why cant it just be there, quiet, at one place? Of course, I was not expecting a voice coming out from river , chit-chatting with me but my own thoughts started questioning and to my surprise, answering me Ganga flow is fierce yet it makes us feel calm. Such a pleasant irony. Just like the flowing waters of Ganga, thousands of thoughts kept crossing my mind. Some worries, some regrets, some anger, some unpleasantness, some anxiety, some sadness, some restlessness, some ideas, some plans and many more such thoughts. And I again said to myself. Why do such thoughts tend to slow down my speed of action ? At times, kill my action and i go into the spiral of self doubt or self sabotage. I get stuck in these thoughts unable to pave my way out of them and do something...do something worthy. Attachment....a negative attachment...to my thoughts. Attachment itself is negative and getting attached to negativity is too negative...too dangerous. Why cant my mind be like river Ganga...cascading through all spaces, not getting stuck anywhere be it the beautiful Himalayas or narrow semi-dried streams (somewhere along the course) ? Ganga just flows...without getting stuck anywhere...without getting attached anywhere. In good or bad, it just keeps on flowing...flowing and flowing..till it meets her goal...of merging into the sea. Merging into the universe, the cosmos is what a living being can achieve. To go with the flow, without getting stuck in achievements or adversities. Flow and merge with one, the consciousness.... May we all be like Mother Ganga (Ganges)...go with the flow...and rest will follow.. See more

Practicing Sun Salutation in the morning rejuvenates your body and refreshes your mind. It makes you more active and also prepares your body to take on everyday tasks with enthusiasm. ... Benefits : Regular practice of Surya namaskar has many benefits over our physical, psychological, emotional, spiritual energies. I have listed few of them below which anyone can understand and relate to: 1- Physically our body feels flexible and relaxed. 2- Our lung capacity increases, our breathing becomes more fluent and rhythmic. 3- Our confidence, balance and clarity increases 4- Our legs, thighs, back, shoulders, arm, neck and spine become stronger and toned. 5- It effectively engages our energy thereby reducing anxiety, depression. 17.01.2022 MY BLOG # 9 What is YOG(A)...in a gross sense Yoga comes from the word Yuj, to unite. With the practice of Yog(a), we bring our body and mind in union by feeling the connecting between our breath and body. ... Okay..so now you know what we mean by Yoga, just the word, in a very short way/at high level. Now tell me, how many hours of Yoga practice you do in a day? 1 hr, 1.5 hrs, 2 hrs, 2.5 hrs? Not more than than, right? And what about the rest of 15-16 hours when you are awake, how consciously you live? How much are you aware of your breath? We are busy with tasks, activities, thoughts and memories. Around 1-2 hours of Yoga everyday will definitely benefit you but what if you are conscious of your actions and thoughts for every moment in a day? What if you keep yourself vigilant that nothing is blocking your mind? If you feel stuck then you make a plan, act on it and remove that obstacle? Lessening these blocks in your physical reality or mental space will help you feel light, secure and in present moment. Less the blocks, more the flow and more the union. Union cannot happen when so many things are stuck in your mind. We need to clear them one-by-one and gracefully unite our mind with our body. Once that step is achieved, we align our self with the cosmos, the universe. So lets work on removing the blockages, clearing the mental spaces, infuse nice thoughts, deep breath, eat good food and then seek alignment within. Yog-asanas and pranayam will do their bit and so your food, thoughts, relaxation techniques. Lets bring all of this together in our daily life and actions. 02.01.2022 MY BLOG # 6 Embrace Yourself... A tree grown tall, branches wide and covered with lush green leaves..one tree, more trees, a vast land covered with variety of trees, what a sight to watch, what a place to be in. A nature lover can truly immerse in this sight, this feeling. Actually, everyone is a nature lover , its just that we dont realize it unless we spend unselfish time in nature. Just mindlessly go for a stroll along the beach, go in the mountains for hiking or bush wal...k, sit beside a flowing river, walk on roughly paved paths in a forest and you can feel the beauty of nature and you. Yes, you. As you too are part of this magnanimous nature. What do we see, what do we feel in such surroundings? A perfect feeling despite any discomforts like a crowded beach / river front or mosquitoes in forest :) Perfect feeling need not be always hunky-dory, happy, positive but it can bring a sense of self realization, of your own regrets , your own mistakes. We all need this. A stimulus for introspection. Without clearing our thoughts, past memories , feelings we cannot move forward or be in this moment. Being in this moment is important as that will make you feel weightless in your head. A head, a mind free of worries, past memories, anxiety and a persona that we strongly hold on to. This persona of self is nothing but our ego. Ego is not bad, but clinging to it unconsciously is threatening. One should just be aware, be conscious of all the decisions we take, actions we do, words we speak. When in any situation, think before acting- Am I doing it to satisfy my feelings or is this action required to satisfy the situation without least harming anyone (including yourself) ? Each person is accomplished in certain ways. We are those trees. Some are beautiful with no fruits, some have sweet fruits but do not appear beautiful to eyes, some are tall and slender with no shade(but coconuts :P ), some are heavily dolled up with leaves providing dense shade but too many bugs around and the list goes ...Nature has its own ways of gifting us in a uncertain way. Gift us but not over do as that can lead to a feeling of arrogance, a feeling of being invincible. We too have been made this way by nature. Imperfections in Perfection. But the important part is, by practicing to be conscious we can be aware of self imperfections and improve on them or let them not inhibit our growth, our worthiness. & I would say the best tool to become conscious is to practice YOG(a)...YOGA if practiced regularly with a conducive mindset can bring the much required change, wisdom, fitness to your body and mind....Keep seeking ...Keep practicing Yoga

01.01.2022 MY BLOG # 3 PRANAYAMA (PRANA-AYAMA)...(eng: Breathing Techniques) Prana (vital energy inside our body); ayama (control)... Pranayama is a technique of controlling Prana.... In many definitions on internet, it says, control of breath but actually its Control of Prana. Pranayama are the breathing techniques by which one can control the flow of prana that appears to normal people like us in the form of oxygen. Though, humans can access prana through breath, prana and oxygen are two different things otherwise dead bodies could come alive by just supplying oxygen. As per Yogic science/tradition, till prana resides in our system, we are alive. People who follow Yoga casually, generally underestimate Pranayama and find these boring. But as per 8 limbs of yoga propagated by Father of modern yoga- Patanjali, Pranayama is taught by masters only after we perfect yog-asanas. When we do Pranayama, we are exercising our breath (Prana is disguised as breath) and helping prana move through our physiology smoothly and rhythmically. A person can start feeling the positive effect of Pranayama right from the first instance. In long term, the practice can help in many aspects, including anxiety, stress, depression, insomnia, improved focus and increased self-awareness. You will see much more about Pranayama and its different techniques on this page in coming days...
