23.01.2022 Observation: It was a moment of mixed feelings when we found this little egg on the ground. We were playing outside and I spotted a bird nest that had fallen down on the ground and it had one egg in it still intact. The children were gathering around me as I was slowly pick the egg up. Wow eggggggg!!! the children said excitedly. Then, they were asking me so many questions about this little egg.... Aria- where is her mummy? Georgia- looooook! Egg Annie- she didn’t say anything but was fascinated by this and was watching curiosly. Danyal- what are we going to do? So with so many curious minds, We straight away looked up how to take care of the pigeon egg. Then we got all our gear out and set up a mini home for our little egg with a heat lamp with the hope that it will eventually hatch The children are extremely excited about it and they keep checking on her. #learningthroughplay #hatchingeggs #pigeoneggs #familydaycare
