She has been started on cattle, bison and trained on a mechanical cow, and is set to compete in camp drafting or stockman's challenges with a suitable rider. She is not suited to a beginner rider. Milli was broken in mid 2018, has had intermittent riding since, and has been currently in solid training over the past 5-6 weeks. She has had plenty of mustering work and spent 2-3mo in a feedlot - a mare with the miles already done. Milli is good to C/T/S/F and is good after a spell. 10.01.2022 It’s been a while since our last Facebook post, however, we have been very busy over the first three months of 2019 breaking and training young horses. Here is a clip of a nice 2yo filly by Kydras Acres Mercury, Tongaboo Juno Acres, on her 10th ride under saddle. She is travelling around smoothly and willing, with some cadence to her stride. 06.01.2022 Update on Quixottes Milli Chex, with ground work well established the miles are just beginning. I always start young horses in a halter and incorporate the bridle after a few rides, this is the beginning of a soft feel. Here is a video of her second ride, first ever outside, freeing up nicely. Excuse the ice hockey helmet.
