21.01.2022 Are you able to love another even if they do not fulfill your fantasies and expectations? This is the ultimate question that parents are confronted by on the pa...renting journey. Our children do not have to win our love by reaching the expectations we have set out for them. They should be loved for the person they truly are, not the person we want them to be. Our children are not our property, and they were not born to fill our inner cup. Letting go of these fantasies is one of the biggest challenges parents face, but it is essential for conscious parenting. Comment CONSCIOUS if you have learned, or are in the process of learning, to let go of your fantasy?

20.01.2022 Interesting article I thought!

20.01.2022 Dear kids, You are not a number. The world will try to assign numbers to you scores, grades, potential but you are so much more than any number. Numbers miss ...your kindness, your creativity, your empathy, your heart. You are never a number, but rather, always remember, you are priceless. 18.01.2022 Children are dealing with a world that is far different than anything they’ve ever known. Add to that, the fact that their rocks parents, teachers, grandparen...ts are all worried, stressed and just different. Everything is upside down for them. . You can help by trying to bring some calm into their day. Add a bit more cuddles and relaxed playtime. Do some fun things. Maybe make a big tent in the house, have a sleepover in the family room, game night, make cookies, look at the stars. . Take a breath Mom and Dad. Try to build some happy family memories into this very odd time. - Elizabeth Pantley . . and CAPTION ABOVE by @elizabethpantley See more

18.01.2022 Kids may not be the best at listening to what you say, but they’re great at copying what you do.

18.01.2022 Our children's external accomplishments are not a measure of how extraordinary they are. Just by being their authentic self, they are exceptional. Celebrate your child as they are. #TheConsciousParent

18.01.2022 Storytime is great

17.01.2022 A really good account I thought for Mummy, Daddy, Grandparents, older siblings, Carers and all in the life of our little ones

13.01.2022 When someone's heart stops beating, every second counts to help them stay alive! That's what happened to former Yellow Wiggle, Greg Page, last year. He founded ...the Keep the Beat Going program with the sole purpose of getting AEDs (defibrillator) into schools and teaching kids that they're never too young to learn how to Keep the Beat Going with CPR and an AED. 11.01.2022 Another good short video, also building on the 'washing hands' theory to help avoid the spread of viruses. I automatically assumed that as well as potentially spreading viruses to other people & surfaces, this was to avoid contaminating food you are ingesting, but touching your face, eyes & mouth could also give you the virus. This would also apply to little ones in your care. Soap & water and drying well is what is most often advised. Antibacterial solutions aren't usually advised for children as a lot of them contain alcohol and I've found from working in the field, they can be very harsh especially when you are washing hands so often. I'm sure they do have their place and are quite convenient though, especially when in public.

06.01.2022 Opening @ Lindsays Rd Coffs Harbour this Thursday!

03.01.2022 Some great kiddies activities

03.01.2022 Educators will tell you that a classroom full of empathetic kids simply runs more smoothly than one filled with even the happiest group of self-serving childre...n. Similarly, family life is more harmonious when siblings are able feel for each other and put the needs of others ahead of individual happiness. If a classroom or a family full of caring children makes for a more peaceful and cooperative learning environment, just imagine what we could accomplish in a world populated by such children. 02.01.2022 A lovely post from Boambee East Community Centre and agree with their message: 'This is profoundly beautiful'

02.01.2022 A group of professional people posed this question to a group of 4 to 8 year-olds, 'What does love mean?' The answers they got were broader, deeper, and more pr...ofound than anyone could have ever imagined! 'When my grandmother got arthritis, she couldn't bend over and paint her toenails anymore... So my grandfather does it for her all the time, even when his hands got arthritis too. That's love.' Rebecca - age 8 'When someone loves you, the way they say your name is different. You just know that your name is safe in their mouth.' Billy - age 4 'Love is when a girl puts on perfume and a boy puts on shaving cologne and they go out and smell each other.' Karl - age 5 'Love is when you go out to eat and give somebody most of your French fries without making them give you any of theirs.' Chrissy - age 6 'Love is what makes you smile when you're tired.' Terri - age 4 'Love is when my mommy makes coffee for my daddy and she takes a sip before giving it to him, to make sure the taste is OK.' Danny - age 8 'Love is what's in the room with you at Christmas if you stop opening presents and just listen.' Bobby - age 7 (Wow!) 'If you want to learn to love better, you should start with a friend who you hate.' Nikka - age 6 (we need a few million more Nikka's on this planet) 'Love is when you tell a guy you like his shirt, then he wears it every day.' Noelle - age 7 'Love is like a little old woman and a little old man who are still friends even after they know each other so well.' Tommy - age 6 'During my piano recital, I was on a stage and I was scared. I looked at all the people watching me and saw my daddy waving and smiling. He was the only one doing that. I wasn't scared anymore.' Cindy - age 8 'My mommy loves me more than anybody. You don't see anyone else kissing me to sleep at night.' Clare - age 6 'Love is when Mommy gives Daddy the best piece of chicken.' Elaine - age 5 'Love is when Mommy sees Daddy smelly and sweaty and still says he is handsomer than Robert Redford.' Chris - age 7 'Love is when your puppy licks your face even after you left him alone all day.' Mary Ann - age 4 'I know my older sister loves me because she gives me all her old clothes and has to go out and buy new ones.' Lauren - age 4 'When you love somebody, your eyelashes go up and down and little stars come out of you.' (what an image!) Karen - age 7 'Love is when Mommy sees Daddy on the toilet and she doesn't think it's gross...' Mark - age 6 'You really shouldn't say 'I love you' unless you mean it. But if you mean it, you should say it a lot. People forget.' Jessica - age 8 And the final one: The winner was a four year old child whose next door neighbor was an elderly gentleman who had recently lost his wife. Upon seeing the man cry, the little boy went into the old gentleman's yard, climbed onto his lap, and just sat there. When his mother asked what he had said to the neighbor, the little boy said, 'Nothing, I just helped him cry.' Now, take 60 seconds and post this for other to see. And then be a child again today!
