25.01.2022 This Saturday at 7am join myself , Lisa HB and a bunch of her crew from Fitbody Friends & Run Buddies in another ‘1km OF LUNGES FOR A CAUSE’ to support the Women’s , Children’s and Pets refuge which is a local refuge that gives women, their children and pets a place to stay when they have been forced out of their homes due to DV etc. They are raising money to put safety screens on the refuge and you can donate through the link and page or they really appreciate donations of... pet food and food packages etc. Let’s protect those struggling to protect themselves Big Luvs Nadsy

For me it’s animals and creative expression... oh and also physical affection ... now really none of those things cost much do they ! 13.01.2022 When I started my weight lifting journey 6 or 7 years ago I used to only lift weights in the ‘ladies section’ ( yes fitness first used to have a ladies section) because I was terrified of the open weights area. Scared I’d look ridiculous and everyone would know I didn’t know what I was doing. Scared of the massive guys and girls throwing weights around like they were part of some elite gang Now I’m quite often the only girl training in the early AM and , on a good day, I’m ...lifting more than some of the guys Everyone starts somewhere and take it from me, most of the people that your thinking are scary or will laugh at you are so happy to help. So don’t let fear get in the way of you doing what you want and achieving your goals. We’re all in this together.

10.01.2022 Just how important are your rest periods between sets ??? Very it would seem .. AND I ONLY LEARNT THIS LAST YEAR To increase strength and power as quickly as possible, the best rest period is 2 to 5 minutes between sets. Low reps with big rests see’s your body produce more testosterone.... To increase hypertrophy (muscle building) as quickly as possible, the best rest period is 30 to 90 seconds between sets. Shorter rest periods increase your bodies production of Human Growth Hormone which increases muscle growth. To increase muscular endurance as quickly as possible, the best rest period is 30 seconds or less between sets. These rest periods are also based on how the body produces the energy to perform work during training.
