25.01.2022 Year 7-10 students have been given letters and information about their sport choices for Term 3 2020. You will find an Expression of Interest form which allows ...students to enter their three preferences in order. To ensure a spot in one of their top three preferences, students must bring their completed Sports Choices forms to the selections next week. For Year 7, 8 and 9, the selections are on Wednesday 1 July. For Year 10, Thursday 2 July. The venue will be confirmed with students beforehand.

23.01.2022 Day 2 of Term Three and not only did we get to welcome back our own lovely students, we also got to meet lots of students trialing for entry into our school in ...2021. Mr Wood, our Director of Sport was there to greet some of the students trying out for entry into the Sports Academy for Netball. Good luck to all the hopefuls in this and other sports.

21.01.2022 Its one of those skills that more people should gain. Year 11 PDHPE and Year 11 Sports Coaching Certificate 3 were undertaking their First Aid training today. Great to see the mature approach these students took to understanding this serious and important subject.

21.01.2022 If ever encouragement to warm up before practice was needed, this chilly weather is doing its job. These junior Academy football students did not need to be asked twice, and the warm up session was embraced by all!

14.01.2022 Michael Jordan once claimed that "Talent wins games, but teamwork and intelligence win championships". While we understand that Michael Jordan may have had bask...etball in mind when he gave this great insight, we are fairly sure he wouldn't mind it also being applied to the great sport of netball! Teamwork and intelligence are so evident at the training sessions for Academy Netball. It has been such a pleasure watching this group of girls train this week; their commitment to each other, to their coaches and to their teacher Ms Lynch is on display every moment of every training session. At Narrabeen Sports High School, we are reminded every day that the power of sport extends beyond the netball court, the playing field or the dance studio. We see the resilience, responsibility and teamwork that our coaches work so hard to instill in students during training sessions play out in the classroom and on the playground. Every day. 13.01.2022 The Sports Academy will return Tuesday 26 May 2020. The advice from the Department of Education Sport and Physical activity guidelines focus on a return to non-contact skill acquistion and fitness. Due to change rooms being closed students in Year 7 to 10 are to wear PE uniform (not Sports Academy) Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

10.01.2022 Our Sports Academy Rugby All Codes program has gone from strength to strength in 2020 under the expert guidance of John and Maurice Kennedy. We are very lucky ...to have such dedicated and enthusiastic coaches. 10.01.2022 The very definition of 'bitter sweet'! Talented year 7 student athlete Riccardo S has just been offered a coveted position with Italian Serie A football team, P...arma Calcio. The entire school is brimming with pride, especially Sydney FC Academy coach Nick Susko, pictured here announcing Riccardo's achievement to the rest of the junior team. Riccardo will move to Italy with his family after Term Two and while we are overjoyed about Riccardo's big achievement, his teachers and fellow Academy FC group will miss him. Congratulazioni!

As if that news wasn't enough, the head coach is going to be none oth...er than Brendan Lyon from Lyon Cricket Academy. Mr Lyon is a highly regarded coach with years of coaching and playing experience and we can't wait to see him shape and develop a new Academy Sport offering.
