17.01.2022 Good afternoon everyone, Hope you and all your families are doing well during this time. We are running a fundraiser Diabetes. This fundraiser is called Lap The Map.... Diabetes impacts the lives of a big proportion of peoples lives. Due to the current circumstances the normal fundraiser cannot be held, so we have decided to use this time being stuck at home to do this fundraiser. All you have to do is walk each day or whenever you can and track your kms. These kms will then go into a big pool from all Lions Clubs to see if as a team we can walk Australia which is 25,760km and can provide awareness to everyone regarding Diabetes. This walk required you to also keep within the government restrictions such as wearing a mask and walking for no more than an hour. Also, there is a gold coin donation as well which goes to the Lions Australia Diabetes Foundation. This is a great time to get out and about for a good cause and show that even during hard times we are still involved in helping the community. If you are interested in being involved or hearing more please contact Jaymee Sanders or call her on 0401 928 812. Take Care, Stay Safe and Keep Active!

09.01.2022 The Australian Lions Hearing Dogs new website has been launched and they are incredibly excited about it. Its bright, bubbly, and full of all the information you might want to learn more about Australian Lions Hearing Dogs. Theres even a special spot where Lions Clubs that have generously supported them in the last two years are listed and this will be updated each month to reflect their support. Theyd love for you to jump on the website, scroll through, and let them kno...w what you think. Anyone trying to visit the old website will be simply diverted to the new one, to ensure they dont lose any online visitors. You can find the new website at www.lionshearingdogs.com.au. 01.01.2022 With Australia currently facing what could be its worst bushfire crises in history, Lions Clubs are rallying together to support those affected. Lions across t...he country have been out in full force in their communities this week. And when disaster strikes, the Australian Lions Foundation is focused on getting emergency support to communities in need as quickly as possible. Right now, residents across NSW and QLD need our help, says Foundation Chairperson Tony Benbow OAM. Australians looking to make a donation and support those affected by the bushfires can do so through their local Lions Club or through donating directly to Australian Lions Foundation. Every dollar will go directly to supporting those affected and donations over $2 are tax deductable. To make a donation visit http://www.alf.lions.org.au/ and select the GiveNow link. https://www.givenow.com.au/australianlionsfoundation All donations over $2 are tax deductible. #LionsAustralia #LionsWeServe See more
