25.01.2022 Junior Presentation Night Friday 27th March Morning all.... In light of the current situation regarding covid19 we will be making the following changes to structure of the evening. Each team will be presented with their trophies in allocated time slots on the night. Please see below for times. Due to the restrictions now in place of amount of people allowed in an indoor area The presentations will happen OUTSIDE the club rooms on Sweeney 2. There will still be a can of drink offered to the players and their siblings but unfortunately there will be no pizza due to health concerns. We are sorry to have to limit things to this but the health and safety of all our players and their families is paramount. We hope that you understand and support us in this process as we still want all players to receive their awards and we feel that this is the best way to do that. If you have any questions or do not wish to attend you can contact either Ricky [email protected] or myself [email protected] to arrange a time to collect your childs award. 20.01.2022 Your trailer needs adequate lighting to operate safely and legally. The wiring that helps your trailers lights to function properly doesnt last forever, and ...it will eventually need to be replaced. When that day comes, youll need to know how to rewire a trailer. Even if your trailers current lighting setup still works, you may want to upgrade. For example, if you have incandescent bulbs, it might be a good idea to step up to LEDs. LEDs last longer than incandescent bulbs and use less electricity, which can reduce the strain on your tow vehicles charging system. Rewiring a utility trailer may take anywhere from two to five hours, and it can be a difficult task if you have no prior experience. Youll need the following items: Trailer lighting kit (includes the necessary wiring and lighting).white pickup towing trailerLong Description Wire-cutting pliers. Wire brush. Rust-inhibiting paint. Step 1: Get Rid of the Old Wiring Use wire-cutting pliers to get rid of the trailers existing wiring. Also, make sure to remove the tow vehicles wire connector. Step 2: Clear Corroded Material From the Old Harness Use a wire brush to remove corroded material from the area surrounding the trailers old harness. Once this task is complete, spray the area with rust-inhibiting paint to prevent future corrosion. Step 3: Install New Wiring Between the Trailer Coupler and Rear Frame Crossmember Ideally, you should route the wiring across the trailers frame rail. Use cable ties and rubber grommets to secure the wiring, all of which should be included in the trailer lighting kit. Step 4: Wire the Plug Connect the white ground wire at the trailer connector. Make sure theres enough wire at the connector to extend to the tow vehicle plug. Also, the line should be loose enough to accommodate the trailers turning radius. Step 5: Connect the Wiring to Each Trailer Light Trailers typically use a four-seven wire flat plug. In this situation, the trailer plug will have a wiring diagram on the back of the package. It is simply a matter of matching the colours and ensuring that each meets the desired input from the vehicle. Step 6: Check the Lighting Before you hit the road, test your newly rewired trailer lights to make sure theyre working. This will keep you on the right side of the law. Youre now ready to cruise down the highway with your trailer in tow. 09.01.2022 ******ANNOUNCEMENT****** Hi all, I hope you are all staying safe and well in a very unusual time for us all and we all managed to enjoy Easter in what ever fashion you were able to.... Sadly the cricket season ended in an odd fashion but I thank Mark Jensen-Schmidt for performing a live stream of our presentation and BW Medal which was a shining light at a very dull completion of season 2019/20 With a quiet period of time for everyone we have been able to make a very important appointment for our club and one Im very proud of and excited for. As we move towards the 2020/2021 season myself, Shane and the committee are proud to announce that Brett Lewis has been appointed Head Coach of the Narre Warren Cricket Club for season 2020/2021 and 2021/2022. A lot of our players are very familiar with Brett with his recent work at DDCA clubs like Cranbourne and Narre Warren North where he has coached his clubs to Turf 1 and Turf 2 premierships. External of the DDCA Brett has been involved with Casey South Melbourne Cricket Club where he has taken on many vital coaches roles at premier cricket level. Bretts experience, enthusiasm, knowledge and structure will be a much needed injection into our club not only across senior and junior cricket but on a social and interpersonal level as well. Im very excited to have Brett become apart of our club and I know he is just as excited as we are. Id like to thank Tony Young for doing the leg work with getting Lewie across. Id also like to show appreciation to Shane Simpson for the past season as Head Coach which was nothing short of a challenge on many levels and in my opinion he did it well with the clubs best interest at heart all year long. Thank you Shane. Im excited to see what Brett has instore for our club and our players and Im sure everyone else is interested too. 07.01.2022 Water pump failure can put a real damper on your day. If youve just discovered a pool of coolant underneath your car or noticed it running hot, you might be wo...ndering what happened? Diagnosing the problem can be as easy as testing your coolant and checking the levels in the reservoir. What causes water pump failure? Water pump failure can stem from the condition and amount of coolant in your vehicles cooling system. Your vehicles engine is working extremely hard, and in turn, generating lots of heat. To prevent it from overheating, the water pump circulates coolant throughout the engine and cooling system to remove heat from critical engine parts. This helps the engine, engine oil, and transmission fluid operate at optimal temperatures. When coolant condition is poor it cannot properly control engine temperatures, nor can it properly care for the water pump. If your engine temperature rises, things can get troublesome pretty quickly. Important inhibitors in the coolant that protect the water pump from cavitation, rust, scale, and sludge become less effective. As these degrade, failure of your water pump can occur. Extremely low coolant can damage the water pump by allowing it to spin without the the protection provided by the coolant. Damage to the seals and bearings can then occur and even continue after the system has been refilled to the correct level. Never allow the engine to run with an empty cooling system under any circumstance. Better to park it and call a tow truck than risk destroying an engine. Check and test coolant levels regularly Have you checked your coolant levels lately? Each time you open the hood is an opportunity to monitor coolant levels and get a reading on your vehicles health. Remember, never check coolant levels when the engine is hot. Wait until the engine has cooled and the system has depressurized before opening the radiator cap or pressurized overflow tank. If the level is low, you can refill quickly using widely compatible premixed coolant. Testing your coolant can be done using a handheld antifreeze tester. This handy tool allows you to measure the freezing point of your coolant and adjust the water to coolant ratio accordingly. We recommend using distilled water to dilute the coolant if the ratio is too high. Revive your cooling system If the coolant is dirty or the test indicates poor quality, we suggest performing a complete flush of the system. Performing a complete cooling system flush removes worn out and dirty coolant, replenishing the additives that protect the water pump. Flushing a cooling system is a messy project, so be prepared to catch the old fluid for recycling, as well as to clean up any spills. You may prefer to visit to your trusted local repair shop if you arent comfortable doing this project yourself. They will also be able to recycle your old coolant correctly, saving you the hassle. Maintaining your coolant can help prolong the life of your water pump. Coolant is easy to take for granted, but it is also simple to check. Make coolant checks part of your regular vehicle maintenance schedule.
