21.01.2022 COVID-19 UPDATE SUBxC are training as normal with increased attention to health and hygiene. Based on safety assessments and current guidance by SUSF, we will continue training as scheduled under heightened safety and hygiene measures.... If you feel unwell for any reason, please avoid coming to training. Assist by cleaning the mats and equipment with the disinfectant and old towels which can be taken from the front desk. Continue to follow any advice from the government about COVID-19. In particular please self-isolate if you have recently travelled to a high risk country, have been in contact with someone who may be affected, or you feel COVID-19 symptoms. Fact sheets are available to help you decide if you are at risk - https://www.health.gov.au//novel-coronavirus-2019-ncov-res Further updates will be published on this page and in private member chats. Stay strong, stay healthy

13.01.2022 Hi Everyone, I will be heading to Fairtex for a couple of weeks to check out the training there. While I am away Lenny will be looking after the unstructured group. I will be looking at taking a group of boxers over to Thailand later in the year for training and possibly competition and this visit will be paving the way so train hard and see you in a few weeks. Cheers, George

05.01.2022 COVID-19 UPDATE - NO BOXING 17-31 MARCH As a precaution, the boxing club is suspending all classes and sessions for 14 days, starting Tuesday. There will be no class on Tuesday 17th March.... Check this page for more information over the next 2 weeks. We are doing this in response to Sydney Uni confirming that a student has tested positive for COVID-19. Their movements have been tracked, and it looks like the gym hasn't been exposed. There are a number of smart reasons to take a break. It is naturally cold and flu season, so we expect people to be a little under the weather. Boxing is a high-contact sport, generating lots of sweat. It is almost impossible to train boxing while maintaining the recommended 1.5m distance from others. A short break will make everyone feel confident and comfortable about their health. Please continue to follow all health advice from government sources. Training will be on again as soon as possible. ---- This advice is from the Uni.

05.01.2022 Over the weekend fighters Anna Huang and Jennifer Yiu trained by George Plellis put in rounds at Focus Boxing Club with past 54kg national champions Vivianna Ruiz and Jasmeen Hudson. Both did very well!

03.01.2022 Be aware of the COVID marshall when you come to train.
