05.01.2022 There is nothing quite like having the ability to play beautiful music... I tell this to my students all the time. Its worth the daily practice you put into yo...ur journey towards reaching that point, where you are finally good enough to sit down at the piano and choose any piece of music that you would like to learn and be able to do that. Just the other day, I sat down at the piano and started playing various pieces I had learned through the years... I was completely lost in the wonderful experience of it, that I couldnt believe that 2 hours had gone by, without me noticing .. I am truly grateful for this wonderful gift!! 04.01.2022 Once upon a time, a little girl of 4 years,sat down at a big grand piano, to have her first piano lesson.. She was very excited and listened to every word her teacher uttered, followed every instruction about how to hold her fingers and played the very first notes... This was the beginning of a lifetime of piano lessons, performances at even bigger grand pianos on stages, putting in hard work into practicing every single day, guided by her mother, to make those little finger...s get stronger and stronger and more and more able to perform beautiful music. Through the years, as the girl grew older, her piano playing became better and better.. she was soon playing pieces that showed great technique, beautiful musicality.. she graduated with her diploma with distinction and continued performing and started teaching children. This teaching proved to be so rewarding!!! To pass on the things she had learned throughout her life to others, was wonderful!! To see them progress and do well was truly fantastic!! 03.01.2022 One of my favourite pieces. Have played it through the years.. the most beautiful experience!!!

03.01.2022 The music has not stopped at our studio during this time!!! Students continue to come to lessons and enjoy progressing in their piano study!!! The studio has taken on all the very responsible and strict practices in hygiene and in social distancing!!!... Yes, it is possible to continue to learn piano at the studio, not online as other teachers have chosen to do!! Quite honestly, I don’t think online ‘lessons’ would be of much value!! The rules are quite simple , but strict. Each student arrives and goes immediately to wash their hands . ( 20 seconds) . There is hand paper to dry their hands on. which is thrown away into a specially prepared plastic bag ( which is thrown away immediately after the lessons). Then the student comes into the music room. The teacher wears a mask and disposable gloves, which are tight enough to allow the occasional time when it is necessary to show a student how to play a certain piece of music. That is, to correct any mistakes or to demonstrate how to play something that the student may be having difficulties with. The teacher sits behind, but at an angle to the student( at the correct distance allowed). The lesson progresses normally and students have been continuing to make progress without interruption to their study. In the music room, there is a large dispenser of hand sanitiser available for each student to use at any time and always after the lesson finishes. Only the student and teacher are in the room at any time. After lessons, the piano keys are wiped down and cleaned with antibacterial wipes and so is the piano stool and and door knobs and surfaces. At the end of each teaching day, the general area both in the music room as well as outside it, including the front door, floor, etc is sprayed thoroughly with sprays such as Glen 20. All students are asked not to attend lessons if they have the smallest symptom of a cold or flu like symptom, even a slight sniffle or ofcourse a cough or sore throat. And so we continue to enjoy our music and progress in our studies !! I welcome all students to come to Natasha’s Piano Studio!! I can promise you, that we have developed a safe, hygienic and responsible environment. I am happy to say, new students have been starting.
