Here is a friendly reminder about what to do if you're the last to leave playgroup: If you're the lucky last, please ensure the following:... - Shed door is closed - Lights and air con inside are turned off - Door to playgroup building is locked (there's a button on the internal door handle which you push in, then simply pull the door closed) Thanks everyone for helping keep our resources safe and sound! 17.01.2022 We are SO excited to announce that we have been granted funds by the wonderful Lotterywest to improve our Playgroup! The funds will enable us to purchase outdoor equipment and revitalise the outdoor play area with new sand and mulch. Special thanks go to Bec Cunningham for all her work on the grant prior to leaving her role and Karen Collins from Playgroup WA for her guidance and support!

17.01.2022 C H R I S T M A S P A R T Y!! It's nearly that time again! Naturaliste Family Playgroup will hold our Christmas party on Thursday 10th December from 9am - 11.30am.... If you would like to attend, please RSVP in the comments section below, or by emailing [email protected], just so we have an idea of numbers On the day, please bring along: * A plate of party food to share * A gift wrapped book with your child's name clearly marked on it for Santa to hand out! We would love if a parent could volunteer to assist our committee member with face painting on the day - don't worry, no special skills required as we will provide the paint, brushes and stencils! Hope to see you there!

17.01.2022 Hope everyone is enjoying having freedom again! Did you know that each week, someone from our beautiful little playgroup takes home the plastic toys, wooden blocks and Duplo and gives it a warm wash in the washing machine (can add in Milton anti bacterial as well)!? Comes out a dream (*Hot tip for home too*) We have 4 sessions a week running 9 - 11am Mon, Tues, Thurs and Fri's. Come join us!

16.01.2022 This week at Playgroup we will be making pasta necklaces and practicing our fine motor skills, sorting skills and colour identification. We will also be making tracks with our dinosaurs and creating footprint paintings. Once we have finished painting we will be giving the dinosaurs a bath. Practicing the skill of cleaning up. ... 15.01.2022 Hey everyone! From this week on activities will be set up each Monday at Playgroup. Don't worry if you can't make Monday though as they will be left set up for the Tuesday session. This week we will be making Father's Day cards and there will be some blue sparkly playdough to play with as well. Might be a good idea to wear clothes that can get messy:)... For anyone that wants the BEST and EASIEST playdough recipe... Here it is: 2 Cups of Flour 2 Tbsp of Oil (any oil will do, coconut oil, vegetable oil, even olive oil) 1/2 Cup of Salt 2 Tbsp Cream of Tartar 1 1/2 Cup Boiling Water 1.Pour 2 cups of flour into a bowl. 2.Add 1/2 cup of salt. 3.Mix in 2 tbsp Cream of Tartar. (You can find this in the spice section of just about any grocery store.) 4.Add 2 tbsp of oil. For this recipe I used vegetable oil, but you can use any oil, and as long as it’s a kitchen oil, your playdough will be non-toxic and safe if a little one takes a tiny taste. The sodium level is very high, so we don’t encourage this to double as a snack. 5.Pour in the boiling water. Be VERY careful because this makes the dough HOT! 6.Mix all the ingredients together until they form the dough. At this point, if you don’t want to add any food dye to your playdough, you’re finished! Much love, Michaella xx

03.01.2022 And that's a wrap for Playgroup 2020!!! Wishing everyone a wonderful, restful and safe Christmas and new year period. We look forward to welcoming all our families back in 2021 - our first session will be on Monday 1st February, but we will open for a few on-off dates during January which will be posted here and on the MEMBERS: Naturaliste Family Playgroup page. We still have spots available for new memberships next year, so if you'd like to try out playgroup simply send us a message!

02.01.2022 From this, to this!! Fernando at SOS Handyman Services has done a brilliant job removing our old, broken cafe blinds and transforming our alfresco area by installing clear corrugated sheeting. No more windy morning teas or being whacked on the bum by a renegade blind! Fernando also made safe the steps up to the 2 storey cubby by installing panels on the handrail so no littlies are at risk of falling through. Fernando's customer service is second to none, so if any of our members are looking for work to be done, Fernando is your man! See all his contact details on the last photo.
