25.01.2022 Our specialty... the outdoors! There are so many opportunities for outdoor recreation in Canberra and the surrounding region. We can organise walks to suit any experience level.

23.01.2022 Early yesterday afternoon a hotel guest asked me: Where in Canberra can I have a whole lot of fun that is less than half an hour drive away? I gave him two options.... Several hours later he returned and said Londsdale Street in Braddon was the best 2 hours of his visit to our National Capital... just as good, if not better, than anything he had experienced in Sydney or Melbourne! The moral of the story? Don’t waste your time in our beautiful city! The Old Canberra was all politicians and national monuments... the New Canberra is food, drink, entertainment and recreation. Seek out local knowledge and plan an unforgettable trip.

05.01.2022 I returned to Namadgi National Park yesterday for the first time since certain areas have been reopened. My intention was to document the devastation of the recent bushfires. I couldn’t do it. It’s worse than I ever imagined.... So instead I drove with my son to the far southern end of the park that still remains untouched by fire. It is a stunning place. I highly recommend taking the trip down there. Don’t walk on the fire ravaged trails... even those that have been reopened. You’ll witness enough of the effects of the bushfire on the drive itself. Leave nature alone for a little while. There are some fantastic walks... and amazing history... in the Mt Clear area. Canberra and Region Discovery Co will take you there!

05.01.2022 What a cracking start to 2021 for the Canberra region! Congratulations to BentSpoke Brewing Co for taking out top spot in the GABS Hottest 100 Aussie Craft Beers of the Year. But that wasn’t the only achievement to celebrate.... BentSpoke had another 4 beers in the top 100 and Capital Brewing Co. had 7!! And one of my favourite breweries, Zierholz Brewery, released a new tinnie which I can’t wait to get a hold of. So I’m raising a glass of Canberra’s, and Australia’s, favourite beer to the prospect of an awesome 2021 for the local tourism and hospitality industry. God knows we need it.
