14.01.2022 Friday saw NEWS 2019 capped off with the acknowledgement and celebration of the most outstanding and brilliant players during this year's tournament. The 2019 NEWS All-Australian team consisted of; Santo Bongiovanni (captain), Luke David (vice-captain), James Kim, Shaun Mott, Rebecca Evans and Dimitri Liolio-Davis. ... All-Australian coaching duties went to Ben Keyte, who guided his New South Wales squad to consecutive Roger Melnyk trophies. 07.01.2022 It is with sadness that our NEWS family shares the news of Josh Rycken's passing late last week. Consistent and dedicated, his 113 games overall for ACT and Victoria over his eight year career was filled with many accomplishments. He was a part of many Hockey/Powerchair Hockey premierships, and was also a part of Victoria's triumphant Roger Melnyk year in 2016.... Our NEWS family will remember you always Josh. Thank you for your service to NEWS and powerchair sports as a whole. We send our condolences to your family, friends, teammates and the wider powerchair sports communities that you were a part of. May you rest in peace.
