25.01.2022 Tomorrow is World Television Day, celebrating the ways television has helped to increase world communications, as well as the implications it has had on social and cultural development. Television continues to be the single largest source of video consumption. Though screen sizes have changed, and people create, post, stream and consume content on different platforms, the number of households with television sets around the world continues to rise. The first TV I remember having in my family weighed a ton and didn't even have a remote!! What do you remember about your first television set?

Vibe Baldivis Lifestyle Village has a number of ex-serviceman who live in the Village which really heightens the emotions of the Remembrance Day Service at Vibe Baldivis. The Navy & Army were well represented will one of our Homeowners serving in Vietnam & another serving in the Navy for 22 years!

24.01.2022 Anzac Day is a very special day in our villages and one that our homeowners look forward to each year. Usually, there is a dawn service, a BBQ breakfast, village parade followed by lunch in the clubhouse. This year it will be a little different but we will still remember them, with a dawn service from the Australian War Memorial simulcast on the ABC, a bugler will play the last post in many of our villages, the Australian flag will be raised and a socially distanced toast to all our service people later in the afternoon. 23.01.2022 Congratulations to Anna and our Busselton homeowners on raising over $700 for the Leukaemia Foundation's Worlds Greatest Shave. Busselton Lifestyle Village homeowner Anna shaved her head at the Village Sundowner last Friday evening. Anna has shaved her head and fundraised for this worthy cause on many occasion. The first at the age of 22 after working in Amsterdam as a Registered Nurse in the Children’s Leukaemia, she shaved off her beautiful long hair so that it could be donated to make wigs for the children.

21.01.2022 A mans shed. Its a place where a person can disappear for hours and sometimes produce amazing handcrafted items or sometimes, just nothing. Its a place to retreat to, where after a week of chaos, it provides an oasis of calm. When Clive and Anne moved into their new home at Tuart Lakes Lifestyle Village in mid-2017, Clive had discovered the Workshop, so from day one he wasted no time and wandered down to the shed and introduced himself around. There were a few men down... there who were actively doing things, repairing or building items. It was a great atmosphere. I had always used my shed in Ascot as a place of solitude, but now I wasnt at work it was great to have other people to work alongside and chat to. Now we have a group of around ten to fifteen people but not everyone is there to work. Some just come down to listen and have a coffee, and some are actively involved. 20.01.2022 Guests enjoyed a drink and an amazing grazing board while being entertained by acoustic soloist Nicola Rose. They were also able to mingle with homeowners and take a tour of the current homes for sale and explore the village and discover the community facilities. A great afternoon was had by all who attended.

14.01.2022 Busselton Lifestyle Village homeowners donned pink attire for their McGrath Foundation Fundraiser. McGrath Foundation raises money to place breast care nurses in communities across Australia. The day included morning tea, along with raffles, donations, a bowling competition and sausage sizzle.... Event organiser Bevan Heddle said they had great sponsorship support from local businesses and managed to raise a whopping $7,500.

12.01.2022 Busselton Homeowners dig deep for a worthy cause. Last Octobers Spring in the Village fair at Busselton Lifestyle Village raised $1,000 for the Black Dog Ride. Busselton Social Club President Bob Logan, attended the start of the Black Dog Ride which commenced in Busselton, on Sunday, 21 March and presented the $1,000 cheque to the organisers. ... The Black Dog Ride is an annual event held across the country to raise awareness of depression and suicide prevention. This year approximately 250 riders left Busselton to ride to Pemberton via Nannup, where the met up with another 125 riders from Denmark. Wally Roehner along with other Busselton Lifestyle Village homeowners attend the ride each year. Wally has been riding in the Black Dog Ride for 7 years now and will also be taking part in a ride to Alice Springs in August with the Black Dog National Ride. 12.01.2022 It was a fabulous Spring day in Busselton last Saturday which saw the Busselton Lifestyle Village homeowners out in force for their annual ‘Spring in the Village’. There were stalls aplenty with homeowners showcasing their many talents with beautiful homemade crafts, stunning paintings and drawings, unique jewellery, quality wares, organic vegetables and herbs (all grown within the village), delicious homemade cakes and so much more! It was also a fantastic opportunity for the village community to come together to utilise the newly built alfresco area.
