20.01.2022 Great news for our railway. The Knox Council has made a significant grant to the club to assist with members making a new diesel hydraulic locomotive. The team have wasted no time in getting started.

14.01.2022 Steam for Steamfest. With the club's steam loco still out of action we are happy to announce that Philip and Laura Hayes will be bringing along their steam loco. It will be on duty on the February running Sunday and staying on for t he Saturday and Sunday of Steamfest.

13.01.2022 The railway will run every Sunday between 11am and 4pm except for New Year's Eve. Come for a train ride, have a BBQ or picnic by the lake, then wander through the sheds and around the grounds to investigate the huge collection of vintage machinery.

13.01.2022 Track extensions have begun along the Western boundary of the grounds. Many rail/sleeper panels have been constructed and the earth works for the track bed are well started.

09.01.2022 Look what is coming to Steamfest. This beautiful miniature 44 class diesel loco has arrived at Scoresby to help out over t he Steamfest weekend. It belongs to George Landolfo who plans to set it up at his Dinosaur World but with his track not yet built he has kindly lent it as a stand by engine over the rally weekend.

05.01.2022 The big annual event is on at the National Steam Centre over the labour day long weekend. Everything that can move will be moving. Our hard working diesel outline engine will be joined by a steam loco to pull the rides over the weekend.B There are model trains in abundance on display in the sheds. In the top paddock along with the diggers, excavators, draglines and dump trucks there will be teams of draught horses. See www.melbournesteam.com.au for more information

03.01.2022 This Sunday, 28th of April is running day at the National Steam Centre. In addition to the usual Sunday train rides you can see many of the club exhibits in action. See the flywheels spinning on the stationary engines and the gig steam traction engines trundling around the arena.

03.01.2022 This coming Sunday - 30th September is the monthly museum running day at the Steam Centre. Why not pop in for a train ride, see the museum exhibits in action and catch up on what is happening around the club.

03.01.2022 The club's steam drive loco has been out of service for quite some time now so it is great to have a visiting engine to provide steam power for the club's big Steamfest weekend over the 10th 11th and 12th of March

02.01.2022 The August monthly running day saw the last train on the old track before the club's new track extension was cut into the circuit. This Sunday will be the first chance to try out a ride on the new track.
