25.01.2022 Made From recycled fence Pailings, Which was cleaned up. From artifacts making, to furniture. This was my first go of making a outdoor table, which would be great for barbeques and out door settings. With the help of my two sons Irwin , Campbell and myself, we were able to complete the finished table. A coat of varnish and maybe some Aboriginal artwork from artist Estelle. I'll post another finished and completed picture. So far I am very happy, with it.

23.01.2022 18 May is International Museum Day. For this day, the International Council of Museum has asked for everyone to post their favourite object and why it's important at this time. For my object, I've chosen a shadow box by Garth Murgha and Estelle Tranby of Native Creations - Australia, made of native timbers and hand painted from 2018. The reason this shadow box is important at this time is basically the subject of a three-year ARC grant application, an entire book and the arti...cle I'm currently writing. But to put it succinctly, this shadow box is the culmination of thousands of years of cultural knowledge, decades of bucking against interfering government policies and generations of artistic ingenuity. To me, this shadow box is resilience and agency which constitutes the most powerful forms of art.
