19.01.2022 Reminder we have training tonight!! Be ready to train from 5 25. Session goes til 6 30 at the indoor nets under the point. Was a great turn last week with some young pups showing the old dogs some new tricks!! Obviously we have some COVID-19 restrictions so please arrive ready to train at 5 25 so we can go over this as we will be under restrictions for a while yet then we can get stuck into work!! Our main COVID19SafetyPlan restrictions are. -Stay home if you are even slight...ly unwell. -No shining of balls with saliva or sweat, nor is sharing of equipment. -Wash your hands and use provided sanitiser on arrival and where necessary after that. -No hi 5s, handshakes or anything similar and remain physical distant as much as practical. -No sharing of drink bottles. -DO TRAIN HARD AND HAVE FUN See previous post if you need any clothing for the upcoming season.

19.01.2022 Correction. Apologies from the editor, we have had some technical issues and a big name has been left off the team lists for tomorrow. Joining the legends also making his debut is the returning son of a gun Josh Barry. Josh is one of the most aggressive and devestating hitters in Tasmanian cricket and is capable of going big against an inexperienced young guns attack. Good luck Josh, we will be sure to have plenty of spare balls just in case a few end up in Bass Strait. Josh pictured below at a recent training session.

18.01.2022 This ones a special one!! Tomorrow’s A Reserve game V Penguin at Dial park will see Montana Bradley play her 150th game for the club. Montana started at the club 11 years ago and has developed into a key member of our on field leadership team. Fresh off her highest score (92*) whilst carrying her bat with Scrubba last week in C grade Monty goes into the game in great form. -C grade premiership skipper in 2018/19 -Multiple league C grade fielding award winner(Club stats are 9...0 catches, 12 Stumpings and 8 run outs) -3 x 50s -Best bowling of 2/9 Montana’s stats prove she can play the game but being a leader is what she does best. I challenge anyone to find a female player who has played as many games in a male competition anywhere in the world and if you do I’ll tip my hat to you. It’s a credit to not only Montana but the Natone CC and BCL clubs that although there has been some low points we have created an environment that allows Montana to play cricket along side her Dad for so many years. Congratulations Mon and keep setting the pace for female cricketers!! See more

16.01.2022 The legends team is in. Boy oh boy wowee they have pulled out the big guns!! Allen Smart (C) Brett Chatwin Mark Good Phil Johns... Gavin Quirk Sean Barry Phil Bradley Colin Munday Jarrod Stubbs Leigh Kenworthy Graham Bomford Dean Vanderwerf Kellie Randall (super sub) Could almost be a current day A grade side. Remember Santa will make an appearance after the game so parents please bring a small wrapped gift for your children. Game begins at 2 o'clock, bar opens at 1:30.

15.01.2022 Pre season training is on again tonight at the indoor nets underneath the point at west park from 5 30 til 6 30pm. Sessions have been great so far with plenty of enthusiasm and competitiveness!! See you there!! Obviously we have some COVID-19 restrictions so please arrive ready to train at 5 25 so we can go over this as we will be under restrictions for a while yet then we can get stuck into work!! Our main COVID19SafetyPlan restrictions are. -Stay home if you are even sligh...tly unwell. -No shining of balls with saliva or sweat, nor is sharing of equipment. -Wash your hands and use provided sanitiser on arrival and where necessary after that. -No hi 5s, handshakes or anything similar and remain physical distant as much as practical. -No sharing of drink bottles. -DO TRAIN HARD AND HAVE FUN See more

15.01.2022 The Vanders Ute, Trays and Metalworks weekly review for Round 6. 3 openers hold their bat and our first 5 wicket haul for the season as we claim 3 more wins. A grade won the toss and chose to bat we found ourselves in early trouble at 5-32. Promoted opener Vander (42) and Squeak (29) dug in and gave the lower order a platform to work off. Lance Lamprey (58 not) played the Michael Bevan role to perfection teaming up with the tail end to push the total to 9-205. ... Ridgley were well on target in the chase being 3-101 at drinks. Baz (4-36) and Lamps (3-29) bowled in tandem either side of drinks to claim 3 wickets in their first spell. Muz (1-22) and Nicko (1-35) had another good bowling partnership to push the required run rate up around 6 an over before Baz and Lamps came back on to finish the job bowling Ridgley out for 183. In A reserve we had the grand final rematch with Myalla. Bowling first on a lightning quick Wivenhoe Nick the milkman Belbin (5-29) hooped the new ball around to claim our first Michelle five-fa of the season teaming up with fellow new ball bowler Bayley Braslin (2-27) and Mayo who chimed in with 2-40 to have Myalla all out for 179 Having not been dismissed this season Baldy Gray found himself back in A res and again anchored the innings to finish 69 not out match this with Shaun Braslins run a ball 66 in a key partnership of 108 and you’ve got yourself a recipe for success. Eventually reaching 5-180 in the 42nd over. It was the Bradley show in our C grade match as the father-daughter duo opened the batting and batted through the 40 overs with Montana’s 92 not out being her highest score for the club and scrubs 57 not was more than likely his 92nd half century. With a big total of 176 to defend tweaker Jon Targett again led the way with 4-12 with Harry Poke (3-18) and Bomma (3-17) offering great support to have Somerset all out for 101.

14.01.2022 The below documents are attached to show our commitment to looking after kids that are involved with our club. If anyone would like these documents emailed to them please contact the club.

14.01.2022 The NCC is proud to announce Zach Walker has committed to the club for the upcoming season. The 24 year old Squeak has over 2800 runs and just under 100 wickets to his name. He has played in premierships with Ridgley (A reserve 2017/18) and Burnie (First grade 2018/19), playing a key role with the bat in both Grand Final triumphs. Whilst batting is his best asset he is also super fit and has a good arm so will be a great addition to our fielding group, and like every batsman will always be looking for a bowl. Welcome to the Nest mate!!

13.01.2022 What a fantastic day/night we had for our first ever Mental Health match on Saturday. The day was held to help raise money for Speak Up Stay ChaTY, along with trying to change the way people view mental health. The amount of people that came out and supported the match, along with helping us raise money for the charity, was incredible. A big thank you to everyone that helped out on the day, with special mentions Steve Gray, Megan Faulkner, Brod Gray, Riley Gray, the South Bur...nie Football Club, the Bracknell Football Club, Tim Bakes for sharing his story, Courtney Schmidt, Steve Lucadou-Wells, Nathan Hayes, Amy Walker and the Speak Up Stay ChaTY foundation (sorry if we have missed anyone). We must also thank the Ridgley Cricket Club, the Riana Cricket Club, the Oti Cafe, Tyreright Burnie, Harvey Norman Burnie, Highclere Roadhouse, Lee Barry of LB Building & Maintenance, Sharman’s Butchery, Hennessys Bakery, Harvey Norman Burnie and Balls and Bumpers Burnie for their generous donations, we really appreciate it. Congratulations to Riley Gray and his team Rooks Renegades for getting the win in the big game over his brother Brod and his team Brod’s Bashers. We are pleased to announce that we raised a total of $4,750 for Speak Up Stay ChaTY! While we are proud of the money raised it all means nothing unless we a prepared to have those tough conversations and help each other out. Please speak up if you are struggling, and if someone comes to you that is struggling help them get the help they need. We are all in this together as one big family See more

08.01.2022 BIG NEWS!!! The legends have pulled another one from the clouds and are putting together a near unbeatable outfit for Sundays big clash. Former gun opening batsman Lethal Leigh Kenworthy will take his rightful place at the top of the order. The T20 format was made for this swashbuckling opener and we can't wait to see some of his power hitting. Pictured below Leigh playing his famous hook shot for 6 in his playing days.
