14.01.2022 Dear amazing Avaazers, We just won a total ban on bee-killing pesticides in all 28 EU countries!!! This fight took 7 years and I am so, so proud of our movement right now! Weve been cited in hundreds of articles the last few days with media calling Avaaz a catalyst of the outcome.... And that outcome is MASSIVE. Its not just a global tipping point to save the bees - it bans the worlds most common insecticides, pressing industry to develop a whole new model of non-toxic agriculture! We faced the biggest chemical corporations in the world and used every trick in the book - from a 5 million-strong petition, to crowdsourced funding for scientists, to tracking down ministers on an airport runway. We at The Natural Approach & Glamour n Beauty (where I work from in Glenroy) are actively monitoring the current developments with the COVID-19 breakout and taking guidance from the Australian Government Department of Health as well as the State Government A...uthorities regarding this matter. At this stage we will continue to operate as per normal, with heightened sanitization measures in place, until further notice. However we ask everyone to be considerate of staff and other clients by phoning ahead if you have flu like symptoms or have traveled overseas, or have been in contact with a corona virus patient. As we need to work with the community in stopping this outbreak, and look after you and other clients, I am most happy to speak with you over the telephone to avoid contamination of the clinic and possibly causing a shut down which nobody wants.
