22.01.2022 Today, we were provided with the latest health advice by our Chief Health Officer. That advice is clear - given the number of people in hotel quarantine and wit...h the situation in Victoria worsening, there is an increased risk of the virus spreading. As a result, our Chief Health Officer has recommended a delay in the introduction of Phase 5 - and we have accepted that advice. The new tentative date for Phase 5 will now be Saturday, 1 August in three weeks time. A final decision on if we can proceed with that date will be decided in about two weeks time. Again, that decision will be based on the latest health advice. Given the growing level of community spread over east and around the world, the risk of the virus returning with a vengeance is greater than ever before. We can only expect the virus is likely to return. Believe me, I dont want to see that happen. I dont want to be reimposing restrictions. Thats why we have put in place a series of new measures in recent days to reduce that risk as much as possible. Pushing Phase 5 back will mean that we can be sure that any risk from the Victorian situation or international arrivals is contained before taking our next step. A slight delay is the responsible and sensible decision to make. As previously announced, the key changes in Phase 5 are the removal of the 2sqm rule and the 50% capacity rule at major venues. Once Phase 5 commences, the only State-based restrictions which will remain in place will be WAs hard border and restrictions on travel to remote Aboriginal communities. I understand this decision will have a knock-on effect for some events and some businesses. I appreciate their understanding and commitment to continue to doing the right thing, in the interests of our State. I wish we could move to the next phase, I really do. But as with every decision weve made so far, we must remain vigilant and cautious. We dont want to see all our hard work go to waste. If a slight delay means our freedoms, and our health and safety are protected, it will be well worth the wait. Im so proud of how our State has worked as one to get us to this point. When the time is right, we will take this next step together.

14.01.2022 Sunday was just an amazing day at The Vintage Collective Markets Perth Western Australia Hundreds of rides came through and we had a great crowd of fabulous VCM followers attend. Heat did see things slow down later in the day as we all headed for the shade. Thanks you to David Oliver from W.A car pics 4 u for the images. There are over two hundred images of the car show on Davids page for you to go look at. Someone remarked it is like catching up with mates in a kick arse ...back yard. It think we at VCM agree. Mates sharing tall stories, cold brews and watching the day go by. Miss Lady Lace, Curvique Vintage and many others brought some activities to the party and they went off. And Rusty Pinto with Matt rocking the dance floor with Ian Wright Ballads & Blues as support. We can not name all involved as there are just so many. 12.01.2022 This blog is just a glimpse into our industry. Its world wide. VCMPerth Events are so happy to see some businesses open but our events industry will not be ope...ning fetes festivals markets or concerts any time soon. Our industry supports a massive amount of businesses. Those souls that transport, clean, fencing, accommodations, venues, roadie, performers, advertisers, agents electricians, musicians, equipment hire, logistic firms; as you can see the Event industry can not hold a concert for 100 or a market for a 100, maintain social distancing, pay for extra compliance and staff to manage the compliance, keep the bills paid nor contract any work out. Its devastating. Things are not back to normal and for us and our industry it will never be back to normal. Hope is what we need to maintain and help is what we, the industry need now to stop the wave of businesses closing for good.

11.01.2022 Well I hope your all doing ok at the moment. Things feel better and the hope and optimism is definitely here at VCMPerth Events , the management side of events other than our awesome tribe at The Vintage Collective Markets Perth Western Australia . Planning and locking in dates as soon as those events we partner with are having them approved for 2021 has already began! So we have dates already book as late as December 2021! Retro Rewind is back in FEB 2021, as well as the Yor...k Motorcycle Festival in April. Also planned is our first ever Christmas event, with a nod to the past and a retro vibe definitely, but all businesses will be invited to participate in this extravaganza. And also new on the calendar is an international fundraising event we have volunteered to manage that we are so excited about for May 2021. But more about that later. We may not be able to change the circumstances we are currently in but we can remain positive and work hard to find those windows of optimism and hope. Stay happy. See more

03.01.2022 As many have heard, new Covid 19 compliance, safety measure has come to effect. VCMPerth Events have had updated compliance since the beginning of year and main...tain and update our management plans at every stage to ensure we are all safe and also protecting WA's awesome event industry. Events are not easy to run with an every changing landscape. We want to give a thank you to all our regular vendors for their COVID 19 compliance and to the public for understanding the need for the new event attendee contact tracing. Our new QR code is up and running. All you need to do is down load the app, and on arrival at any of our event's take a snap of the QR code to record your attendance. Its that simple. No paper, no typing. Once you down load the app to click and join in to keep WA open for business! I miss our VCM followers, our contributors and the buzz we get from helping small business and our community follow their dreams, meet goals and pursue excellence in their chosen activity. I personally love staying behind the scenes as most of you already know, my happiness is the success of others who go from markets to national or even international status. I am NOT the face of The Vintage Collective Markets (hence the lack of photos) you out ther...e are! Markets are incubators, where people test ideas, target clients, evolve their brand, its the hot spot of new and exciting talent. The Vintage Collective Markets Perth Western Australia have been around since 2012. Vendors, our contributors, our heart beat, have gone on to owning store fronts, distributing products nationally and brands growing into over seas markets, we have watched the ebb and tide of peoples lives, the best and worst. Having seen and experienced the highs and lows with them, they become true friends regardless of their outcomes and life challenges. I do stalk some businesses that grown and moved on from us, hope thats not too scary! But My passions is in giving people a platform to try out their ideas. I dont blow my own trumpet, promote our charity work nor expect nor want the attention. It does not mean we are not as a business working hard right now for you all, I am , the business is, we just choose to do so quietly. But make no mistake I love , appreciate and respect all those whom have joined as along our journey and truly appreciate those whom have contacted us recently to see how we are going through this difficult time.
