25.01.2022 Seeing some huge improvements over the last few months, currently at my all time best! Sitting at 94kg and 8.5% body fat. 1RMs are currently at 257kg Deadlift, 200kg Squat and 173kg Decline Bench Press (Video 135kg x 10) How do I do it?... - Training 7 days per week - 2-3 hours per day - 5 Sets on each exercise for maximal volume - 5 days cardio per week for 1 Hour - Keto diet consuming no more than 2000 calories per day - Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard Protein, Amino Energy, Creatine, Glutamine, Pro BCAA, Test Booster and Vitargo (Spending about $10/day but its soooooo worth it!) If you read all of that and believed any of it was true, you’re a victim of the nonsense the fitness industry throws at us every single day... How I really did it: - Dropped back from 4 days per week to 3 days - 1 hour per session on average - 1-2 Sets to Failure for all exercises - No Cardio (Besides walking the dog) - 3200-3500 calories per day (At one stage I was eating nearly 2kg of Potato per day) - Bulk Nutrients Creatine Monohydrate and Whey Protein Concentrate (Less than $2/day) A friend of mine recently told me that to be healthy you need to move more and eat less. For the average person wanting to improve their fitness, absolutely! But for an athlete this approach is counterproductive. Sure that 7 day bro split you got from bodybuilding.com will get you by for a while, of course you’re going to see results when going from nothing to something. But there comes a time when you have to be more tactical with your approach to training so that you don’t burn out. Training at a maximal intensity to force the body to adapt, recovery and refueling the body is absolutely vital to building muscle, strength and improving your body composition. 21.01.2022 Never let an injury get in the way of your training. More often than not there are exercise variations you can do that allow you to continue to grow and push through. Around a year ago I suffered serious cartilage damage in my knee which is inoperable, the injury occurred whilst gardening of all things haha! Anytime my knee tracks forward, even as far as my shoe laces under the slightest of loads I get shooting pains through my leg. Rather than giving up and having chicken le...gs for the rest of my life, I experimented with different exercises to hit my legs hard while keeping my knee from tracking forward. Such examples of these exercises include Box Squats, Hack Squats, Leg Extension and Leg Press just to name a few. Here I am smashing my V-Squat PB with 184.5kg for 20 reps giving me an estimated 1rm of 234kg. That being said, always listen to your doctor. If they say no training on your injury, that means no training on it! But if you can work around it, do so! Continue to grow

13.01.2022 So close to getting my old strength back! No matter what obstacles life throws at you, you can always bounce back through hard work and dedication. There's always light at the end of the tunnel, no matter how long and dark the tunnel may be.

11.01.2022 The Leg Press... Everybody’s favourite dick measuring contest! Whilst I’m a firm believer in lifting heavy, there are still rules that must be followed in order for the weight to mean anything. I see it all the time, people spreading the plates wide apart to give the illusion that you’re lifting more than you actually are. For meaningful results, it’s best to leave your ego at the door. Rule 1:... Half reps don’t count. Unless you have enormous hamstrings, your knees should come to a 90 degree angle. Of course when you’re lifting at your maximum, not every rep is going to be perfect. But if you’re half repping from start to finish, you’re likely lifting beyond your capabilities. Rule 2: If you want a spotter to push on the sled, you may as well take 50kg off your set. Just lower the weight! Rule 3: Keep your hands off your knees! It’s a Leg Press, not a Tricep Extension! Once again, take 50kg off your set. Rule 4: Un-Rack your weights when you’re finished! Not everybody can lift off the 20 and 25kg plates, don’t use the excuse I’m trying to avoid cardio. 482.5kg for 15 today, I RM of 585kg. Not quite a PB but still a pleasing result after hitting a squat PB 3 days ago

05.01.2022 Online Training through Trainerize coming soon to Natural Potential Personal Training. Places will be limited, message me for more details!

05.01.2022 ANNOUNCEMENT: G’day guys, just an update on what’s happening with Natural Potential Personal Training. Unfortunately I have been unable to secure rental space in a gym that is cost reasonable for part-time personal training. It turns out there isn’t really anywhere in Geelong that caters towards part-time personal trainers, trainers that I strongly believe are the best kind as having to rely on clients for income sucks the enjoyment out of it. Personal Training sessions there...fore will be on hold for the time being. I am however still taking clients for online programming through the Trainerize phone application. Contact me for more information if you are interested! As one door closes, another door opens. I am currently working on a MAJOR project which I hope to be able to announce in the coming months. It’s by far the most ambitious project I’ve ever attempted but I I’ve been working on it flat out for the last couple of weeks. Big things are coming! All the best and happy lifting! 04.01.2022 2 years ago, I suffered a knee injury when I rotated my body with my foot planted on the floor. Initially, I thought that the injury may have been a meniscus tear. After seeing an orthopedic surgeon, I found that I had severe cartilage damage and although there was a procedure which may have helped, the chances of it actually working were slim. I was told to avoid any exercise that caused pain in my knee. This meant no more squats, lunges, single leg exercises, pretty much an...ything that involved my knee tracking even slightly forward. Even climbing stairs was a challenge. I changed up the way I trained. I avoided any exercise that caused me pain and as time went on, I began to notice major improvements. Fast forward to yesterday’s training session and I’m now 3kg off my pre-injury PB for squats! Whilst I’m still mindful of certain movements, I’m practically back to where I was two years ago. Remember, doctors have to give you the worst case scenario. I was told I would never be able to squat again, but I knew I would
