25.01.2022 What a busy past couple months!! So sorry for not posting in such a long time, it’s been crazy busy here. With hubby working off farm full time, my time is taken up with kids, feeding cattle, raising lambs and my horses. Our leased mare Maddi has come home looking amazing and we are eagerly waiting the return of Timmy (NBF My Hot Wish) who is coming home as soon as his lease is finished. In the meantime I will be busy levelling out the individual paddock to re-fence permanently. Lots of other jobs slowly getting done or being prepared to be done once hubby gets his holidays

24.01.2022 So after many hours, lots of sweat and paint everywhere I have finally finished painting the green posts with Stud X paint. Pretty happy with how well it turned out

17.01.2022 Hubby and I built this awesome hitching rail, it has been well used since we installed it over 12mths ago!

16.01.2022 My 3 awesome temporary stables built in the shed. They are approximately 4mts x 6mts so plenty of room for the horses to move around a lay down. Also there are lights installed above them.

14.01.2022 Happy Mother’s Day to me!!! Ash and Montanna made me a card each plus a necklace Ash made at school. Then we picked up 2 gorgeous 3wk old station heifers I bought myself will work out names for them as their personality’s develop Hope all the mums out there had an awesome Mother’s Day

13.01.2022 Over the past several week we’ve had the fencing contractor out to ram in some posts for us. They did several cattle fences plus all these in what will be the horse paddocks. There will be four x 8-9acre paddocks with a 7mt lane way along the front which leads to the cattle lane way & yards. Each paddock will have a 14ft gate making it easy for the tractor to get in and out if needed. The fence lines will be planted with gum trees to provide shade in the future plus will eventually have multi horse shelters. At this stage I only intend to have 2 horses per paddock. They can also be used if necessary as weaning paddock for our calves.

13.01.2022 So yesterday we had a pretty intense day. With 40+ degree day and strong winds a downed power line started a grass fire. In total this fire burnt through 5000 hectares, a couple sheds, a house and took the lives of many animals/livestock. Also unfortunately a couple people received pretty bad burns. We implemented our fire plan the moment we noticed the smoke, not knowing what the wind would do and which way it would go. Thankfully now because of the amazing work of many CFS personnel and dozens of awesome Farm Fire Units this beast was declared Contained this evening!!!

I have an area of approx 100mts x 40mts I need t...o get levelled out as soon as possible so that I can fence it up. 05.01.2022 With the slowing down of the horse side of things I’ve been kept busy raising babies currently have these 4 bubba’s to bottle feed daily although the big ewe is only on 1 bottle per day if anything it’s certainly keeping the kids busy lol
