24.01.2022 Only one game for the Rebels this week with @fitzroybaseball unfortunately having to forfeit. It's been a tough year for everyone so hopefully they'll bounce back after Christmas with a full roster so we can all get some games in. Covid has seen Div 4 split even further this summer so we'll essentially be playing a variation of @mitchellmajors8, @fitzroybaseball or ourselves each week. So we're driving back up the Hume for another go a Mitchell Majors in the late game. 24.01.2022 The Rebels acknowledges the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung people of the Kulin Nations as the traditional owners of the land on which Parker Reserve is located. We pay our respects to their Elders, past and present and acknowledge and pay respects to people of other communities and their Elders. Normally celebrated during July, Covid has,like so many things, seen NAIDOC week pushed back until November 8-15. NAIDOC is a celebration of Aborignal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and... an opportunity to recognise the contributions of Indigenous Australians across many fields. The theme this year is "Always Was, Always Will Be" and recognises that First Nations people have occupied and cared for this continent for over 65,000 years. NAIDOC 2020 invites all Australians to embrace the Indigenous history and culture of the lands on which we live. 22.01.2022 We are still finalising details that will make us Covid / State Government / BV compliant. It is a process and everyone of those bodies are busting their backsides to make sure we do what we need to we are not putting anyone at risk. Saying that we are eyeing a NOV 7th return to training. That's a Saturday. After the 7th we will return to Thursday nights and soon after... I dare not say! So make sure you're registered. There will be no exceptions. 21.01.2022 We're back at Parker for what seems like the first time in forever. It was due to be a double header against old mate Fitzroy Baseball Club but, unfortunately, they don't have the numbers for the late game. 18.01.2022 Cath is very excited about the fact that we have shower doors now, and quite frankly so am I. We've often complained about the shabby state of the GW Harmon pav but council have come through with the goods while we've all been in lockdown and we're very happy with the end result. We still need a dedicated women's change room but this is a start that affords everyone that little bit of privacy that has long been missing.... @activemoreland #herecometherebels

15.01.2022 Buckle up long post ahead! First Summer Training will be on the 7th of November at 11am. If you're in our Facebook group please confirm your attendance in the poll for planning purposes. ... https://www.facebook.com/groups/NCRebels Please note: 1. No rego no train. It's free to register on the link below https://regoform.mygameday.app/ 2. No access to rooms other than to use the loo. Please come ready to train. 3. Where possible please bring your own equipment. We will be able to clean the equipment but it is advisable to use your own helmets, bats, gloves etc 4. You will need to sign in. There will be a sign-in table. Please do not just wander onto the field. 5. If you bring your partner, mother, father, friend etc they must adhere to social distancing rules and cannot be on the field as they constitute a body. 6. Saturday will be a welcome back. We will have a light throw, a socially distanced catch up, chin wag etc. It will be relaxed and as social as we can be. There will be no hitting and no access to the batting cage on Saturday. Come Thursday 12th the heavy lifting will begin. 7. Masks are required. Gaiters are acceptable. They must be worn to and from the playing field. They are not required whilst on the field but are strongly encouraged if possible. If you are labouring for air you do not need to have one on. 8. Hand sanitiser will be available. Use it often. There will be breaks during training for these purposes. 9. Any questions do not hesitate to ask. There are no confirmed fixtures as yet. We will advise you once there are. Finally, after months of waiting... see you on the diamond! Paul will be there on Saturday for any newbies who are rocking up. If you don't know who he is, look for the dude in the picture below. Knowing Paul he'll be wearing a hoodie (probably Yankees themed) and shorts.
