23.01.2022 Congratulations Helena Kidd, 2020 Queensland Training Awards Equity VET Student of the Year! Helena is from Rockhampton and has cerebral palsy. At the end of 2019 she graduated with her Cert 3 in Business from CQUniversity Australia, and her dream job is in medical administration.

Person Centred Emergency Preparedness is a tool to make sure emergency planning includes support for people with disability. 18.01.2022 We Grow Together is a space for Banana Shire residents with disability and their families and carers to support each other and share experiences, information and resources. The group will discuss issues affecting people with disability, build our capacity to tell our stories and advocate for change, and explore local options for mainstream and disability services. We will also build the whole of community’s capacity to support people with disability, and make the Banana Shire a more accessible, inclusive place for people of all abilities.
