22.01.2022 School leaver employment supports are NDIS supports available to students leaving secondary school. The supports help school leaving age participants to transition from school to work, and are available in the participants’ final years of school and directly after leaving school. They are personalised to meet the individual needs of participant employment goals and may include: work experience in open employment, job skills training and travel training.... 20.01.2022 This week is National Carers Week In recognition of this we are shining the light on participant Jenny, her son Ben and their family. Jenny, who has multiple sclerosis, is the primary carer for her four children who are all on the Autism Spectrum. ... Each family member is plan managed separately and funds are used for a Support Coordinator to look after the family and ensure their separate needs are met. For over a year, Jenny’s son Ben has been dog walking with dogs from the local animal shelter where he is a volunteer.
