22.01.2022 Celebrating Success "Over the last week the participants have been introduced to Tony Schulz and in the process we have gone from dreaming small to dreaming really really big! The participants have already cleaned out the nursery preparing for commercial use, helped clear an area for a chili garden to be set up as well as beautifying YBE with continual grounds maintenance. I’m really big on ensuring that the participants are getting a meaningful outcome out of everything they... are doing to further them in their goal for employment with YBE and over the last week they have become much more safety conscious, worked on their communication, started to get some knowledge around plants/ weeds, continued to hone their skills on small machines as well as continuing to get familiar with the 4 day week that the enviro crew do here to ensure if they do get the call up, they can hit the ground running! What’s the saying if you build it, they will come - Jack Farringdon, our Indigenous Liaison Officer

22.01.2022 !! Important !! North East Arnhem Land Aboriginal Corporation

18.01.2022 Territory Wire Fencing have engaged local workers through YBE for our most recent security fencing upgrade project in Nhulunbuy. Great Team Effort!

15.01.2022 Pedestrian Refuge At the Intersection of Mathew Flinders Way Arnhem Road This is the first pedestrian refuge in the Nhulunbuy which was successfully constructed by our Civil Department. Pedestrian refuge islands can help pedestrians to crossroads safely and is used where there is a demand for pedestrians to cross the road, but where the numbers of pedestrians are not high enough to warrant a signalised pedestrian crossing.... Pedestrian refuge islands are raised median islands that provide a location for pedestrians to safely wait for a gap in the traffic so they can finish crossing the road. This makes crossing the road easier for pedestrians by allowing them to cross in two stages and deal with one direction of traffic flow at a time. The work has been executed as per Australian Standards and under the guidance of Nhulunbuy Corporation’s representative. Great management with Gavin Law and Raj Jadhav! #smashinggoals #Civil
