23.01.2022 We’ve been trying our hand at some easy, lightweight, and environmentally friendly knitting here at Needle Nook! These string mesh grocery bags look amazing and are perfect for using in place of the single-use plastic vegetable bags provided at the supermarket. We knitted ours in 4 ply cotton, which is strong but lightweight (so you shouldn’t have to take your groceries out to weigh them). ... Needle Nook owner, Aine, was lucky enough to make a visit to #AvrilYarn in Kyoto late last year and has brought back with her a selection of their stunning yarns.... These beautiful yarns are stored on cones, rather than being pre-wound into balls or skeins. The yarn is sold by weight in 10g increments and we wind it in-store, to order, from the cone into balls using our ball winder for you. We've cast on another #wip without finishing the last one yet! The pattern we're knitting is for the Big Paint Woman's Cap & it's knitting up very quickly because of the lovely chunky ply. 07.01.2022 Introducing Pafu by AVRIL! This brilliant, bobble-y yarn is very different and we're very excited to see what marvelous creations you all can work from it. Pafu is sold in 10g increments, which we weigh and wind for you to order on the ball winder. It is priced at $5.55 per 10g and it is worth noting that you will get quite a lot of length out of it due to it being so lightweight.
