Betw...een 2009 and 2019 the dress travelled the globe being continuously embroidered by over 120 artisans. The embroiderers include refugees in Palestine, victims of civil war in Kosovo, Rwanda and DR Congo, individuals in South Africa, Kenya, Japan, Paris, Sweden and Peru, upmarket studios in Bombay and Saudi Arabia, artists in Wales and Colombia alongside initiatives to support women in poverty such as Missibaba in Cape Town, South Africa, and FanSina working with Bedouin embroiderers based in the mountains above St Catherine's in Egypt's Sinai. 05.01.2022 Exciting news!!!! Since there is currently no travelling, our other side of the business that some of you may not know about, has flourished and taken off swimmingly during CoVid. So much so, that we have had to secure a Warehouse which we hope to move to within the next couple of weeks. Currently our five car garage has no cars in it - just embroideries, tapestries (including Elizabeth Bradley - we are now their biggest supplier in the Southern hemisphere), cross-stitch, p...aint by numbers, etc! Bonnie & Paddy are keen to answer any questions and are here to assist you with some early Christmas shopping before the rush is on! Maureen is happier - she can retrieve her stash from storage again and the cars can soon be parked back where they belong! On the travel side, Maureen, Simon, Janet, Catherine, Jenny, Marguerite and the Team at Needlework Tours & Cruises can't wait for the International travel side of things to resume. All Tours are booked, all lovely Stately Homes, Villa's Chateau's and Tutors are in place for 2021/2022...................so let's hope this thing is eradicated in the not too distant future so we can all come together once more and enjoy our passions!
