The S...kill Training Certificate is aimed at coaching 9-12 year olds. Designed to help you develop good coaching behaviours to assist in the development of core skills, show you how to plan, organise and deliver an effective training session as well as use small-sided games to challenge and motivate players to learn and develop. 22.01.2022 Dear Members, Players and Parents, Due to the recent and ongoing COVID19 pandemic, it is with great sadness that after much back and forth between committee and Newcastle Football we notify you all that Nelson Bay Football Club will not compete in the 2020 football season. Unfortunately due to a lack of volunteers and feedback from parents and players from the recent survey we have come to a unanimous decision that a season in 2020 with the all the restriction and financial ...implications it is not viable for us. While there are many more contributing factors to this, please know that none were more important than the health and safety of our players and volunteers and committee. For those that have paid their registration this year there are 2 options; Please email us your preferred option with registered players name and bank details (1) Credit towards your registration in 2021 (excluding kids active voucher) (2) Full refund (excluding kids active voucher) Refund could take some time so please be patient. What happens with my Active Kids Vouchers? Active Kids Vouchers are not redeemable for cash nor are they transferrable against future seasons. The Government and Associations have divided the funds from the Active Kids Voucher in the following way. Clubs; 30.4% Member Zones; 22.8% NNSWF; 22.8% FFA; 14% Insurance*; 10% Once again, we would like to thank all of our parents, players and club members for their patience and understanding during this challenging time and we look forward to welcoming you all back to Nelson Bay Football Club for what we hope will be a great 2021 Season. 17.01.2022 Update on the 2020 season! Yesterday Football NSW has announced the lifting of the suspension to training sessions. This is great news but we cannot resume any club training until both Port Stephens Council Council and Newcastle Football have given us the approval to do so. Teams and Clubs that are found to be training are at risk of being fined, and also risk our access to the fields.... We thank our members and volunteers for their patience and understanding on this matter. When training does resume there will be new guidelines including limits to the number of participants and on training activities and drills. We are working on making sure we can meet all these guidelines and run safe training sessions. As we have more information we will continue to provide you with updates, and we will be communicating with coaches, managers and players as soon as possible. Please do not organise formal or informal training sessions or games with your teams or team mates.

17.01.2022 Dear Members Firstly, I hope all our members are safe and well. As you may have read there is a number of Clubs that have already withdrawn from all competitions in the Region. Please follow the below links and complete our small survey to assist us with planning for the 2020 season. ... For Nelson Bay FC Community teams to go ahead this season we will need more volunteers. Due to the current health environment we understand that some people are apprehensive or have pre-existing health issues and don’t want to put themselves at risk. The Club totally understands and accepts this. I also don’t expect the small number of people on the Committee to be the ones doing all the work to ensure your child plays. The Club will be disadvantaged financially if we participate in the 2020 season. However, this will not be a reason not to participate. To be clear, if anyone is concerned about this season and wishes not to play, we will offer a refund (minus the Active Kids Voucher) or roll your registration over to the 2021 season. Please read carefully has we have incorporated 'friendly' (non-point scoring games) in lieu of byes to get the most of your season, therefore some teams may have occasionally two games per night (their point scoring game followed by a friendly game with the bye team).... There are 8 rounds followed by 2 founds of finals - 14 & 21 December. Game times for these will be sent closer to the date. Can you ensure all your team mates have paid prior to Monday, or they will not be allowed to take the field. We will have Eftpos facilities to pay on the night if required.
