21.01.2022 Little Hope has been diagnosed with Flat Chested Kitten Syndrome. It’s a bit like swimmers syndrome but affects the front end. Chest x ray really helped because her lungs aren’t too bad. It’s likely the infection tipped her over the edge but with the antibiotics working and her breathing settling we can get on to some physio to help her lungs expand properly. Just getting her moving, up on her legs to strengthen them seems to help. I’m also doing gentle pressure on the costo...chondral joint abnormality which she doesn’t like but again you can see her breathing work better and the front of her chest start to work better. Splinting is something the vet mentioned but I can see that if you don’t get it right you could make things a lot worse and it’s looking like she might be strong enough to sort things out through normal activity. She is choosing to sleep on her side more which will also help. An irregular base to he bedding with scrunched up blankets helps that so she is never just chest down on a flat surface. I’ll post more videos here of her progress. https://icatcare.org/advice/flat-chested-kitten-syndrome/

20.01.2022 An update on Giligan. His eye perforated so he had urgent surgery today. At only 515g that is always a risk but the pain of the eye is too great to leave. Well, the little champ made it. We are all so happy for him. Thank you so much to Mayfair Vet Clinic for their great skill and wonderful care.

09.01.2022 Warning! Graphic video. Dumped kittens face such a cruel and awful death. Gilligan was lucky. He was saved in the Knick of time. Maggots have damaged his eye. Capstar kills maggots but they get very active as they are dying. This boy has endured a lot but is fighting hard. Vet visit today to check his progress and treatment continues as is. He is not out of the woods but is making slow gains. Please desex your cats and if you have unwanted kittens, surrender to a vet or rescue so they dont need to suffer. We can help with desex. 07.01.2022 Spoil your pooch and save some kitties

02.01.2022 Julius’ Xray. The expiratory film shows how his subcostal recession was deforming his chest and the x ray shows a pneumonia, patchy viral as was seen on ultrasound with left lung worse than the right.
