24.01.2022 The Contemporary Art Society of Victoria has advised they are holding a A4 Art Exhibition. What is A4 Art Australia? A4 Art Australia is an exhibition of A4-sized artworks, hence the title. This exhibition showcases A4-sized artworks by both established and emerging contemporary artists and offers all participating artists the opportunity gain exposure for their art at low entry cost. By having a theme of A4 sized artworks, artists from all over Australia have an opportunity... to submit works via Australia Post. All 2D artworks will be framed for the exhibition (see conditions) and entry is only $13 per artwork. All exhibited artworks will be photographed and exhibited on the CAS website. Contemporary artists are invited to submit up to four (4) A4-sized artworks for the exhibition. Note: Both 2D & 3D works may be submitted. 13.01.2022 PLEASE NOTE: RESCHEDULED DATES Our Summer Exhibition is on again. Please note the new dates to those previously advertised. Due to unforeseen circumstances the Exhibition will now take place on Saturday 27th and Sunday the 28th of February.

13.01.2022 COLOUR WORKSHOP IN WATERCOLOUR with Owen Thompson - Open to Members and Non Members - Full day - Saturday 22nd May 2021- $90... Our next workshop for this year is by Owen Thompson, a well-known, experienced and talented watercolour artist. If you are interested in developing or improving your skills, then this is the workshop for you. Please register early so that you do not miss out. Members will have priority for places but registration will be open to non members as well. Members can register through MyNAS. Non members should email their name and phone number to [email protected] with the heading Owen Thompson Workshop. Owen, who majored in painting and printmaking at the UNSW College of Fine Art and gained his Batchelor of Fine Arts from the Adelaide Art School now specializes in drawing and watercolour. This workshop is designed to provide insight into the many aspects of colour and the way to use it. The information is of value to beginners and experienced painters. The still life will require some patient observational drawing before painting. 12.01.2022 Workshop in Alcohol Inks. This exciting and interesting workshop will be presented by Sarah Eyles. Sarah is a photographer and artist who has exhibited in a number of art and photography exhibitions. She has also been teaching High School Visual Arts, Photography and Visual Design for 17 years and has previously run photography workshops for Penrith Regional Gallery. Sarah has experience with various media, including acrylics, gouache, watercolour and alcohol inks. She has d...rawn interest and sold works nationally and internationally and won several awards. WORKSHOP DETAILS: In this alcohol ink workshop, students will learn about the properties of alcohol ink and will experiment with a variety of techniques. They will learn to use colour in combination with metallic inks, experimenting on Yupo paper and ceramic tiles. Students will be introduced to different techniques in a step-by-step process. Each step will begin with a brief introduction and demonstration before participants experiment and complete each task. SUITABILITY: Any level of skill. Not recommended for students under 18. DATE: Sunday 8th November. TIMES: Start at 9am. Finish at 3pm (arrive by 8:30am for setup clean-up and pack up time after finishing at 3pm) WORKSHOP FEES: The price for this workshop is $90. There will be some additional cost for materials for those new to the medium. Email full name and phone number to [email protected] to join the class.
