11.01.2022 Check out our AMAZING signing choir!! As we have been unable to perform at Schools Spectacular this year, we have still been working hard to bring you this special video. December 3 is International Day of People with Disabilities.... how great would it be to have our school community learn and sign this together in celebration of ALL our abilities! #SchoolStage2020

10.01.2022 The Jazz Ensemble have been rehearsing in isolation this term following the new COVID Rules. To put this fantastic video together each performer had to record their audio individually in the school’s Recording Studio and then find a picturesque corner of the school to record the video. Many thanks to Mr Hebblewhite for his work with the ensemble and Mr Galea for his work in the Recording Studio. We hope you enjoy Caravan by Duke Ellington.

10.01.2022 Today was the opening ceremony for NSW Schools Reconciliation Challenge. Lucas' work is currently able to be viewed at the Powerhouse Museum in a virtual gallery. There is a link to the virtual exhibition featuring all students artworks. http://www.schoolsreconciliationchallenge.org.au/

10.01.2022 The spirits of the ANZACS were remembered with a moving moment during recess. Mr Knowles read The Tin-Pot Foreign General and the Old Iron Woman by Raymond Briggs, to a group of students. All students were enthralled with the theatrical story telling of Mr Knowles. The story send a powerful message of the costs of war to those who serve and their families. Thank you Mr Knowles for sharing your love of historical literature with the school community. Lest we forget.

Many thanks to John Fenton, Wellbeing Coordinator Penrith RSL Sub Branch Committee, for the opportunity for our school and students to take part in the ceremony, and thank you to our Principal Mrs Irons for attending and helping with transport for our students and equipment. It was an honour to be part of the Remembrance Ceremony in our local community.

07.01.2022 Year 10 VET Hospitality did an amazing job today at the Year 6 Orientation, teaching students how to make snowballs and what it takes to run the school cafe. #Proudteachermoment! Our new Year 7’s were so lovely, polite and enthusiastic I can’t wait to see them all again in 2021!

07.01.2022 On Thursday, we had the privilege and pleasure of Deb Summerhayes, Director for Educational Leadership visit our school. She was accompanied by our Regional Director Kay Rigas. They had a tour of our wonderful school and made classroom visits. Deb Summerhayes presented Lucas with a beautiful Departmental certificate of recognition for his outstanding reconciliation artwork "Uncle". She hopes that Lucas will create an artwork in the future for her educational office as we are all sure that he will be an artist to watch out for in the future. Congratulations Lucas, we are all very proud of you.

06.01.2022 Our NCAPAHS Rock Band ensembles have been working hard this year on songs to record in the studio. Last Thursday they were given the opportunity to learn how to produce and record these songs in our studio with Mr. Galea and Mr. Bright. Well done to all students involved!

04.01.2022 Viewer Advice: Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander viewers are advised that the artwork contained in this post contains the image of a person who may have died. Congratulations to Lucas G in Year 8. His artwork "Uncle" has been selected as a finalist in the NSW Reconciliation Challenge. This is Lucas' annotation about his artwork. My artwork is about the significance of Aboriginal Elders and their connection to country. The image of the anonymous elder represents all elders... within our country. It reflects the pride, patience and connection to country. The Elder represents all tribes and as the gate keepers of the land. For they are the ones that hold the keys: they are the custodians of knowledge and lore and have the permission to disclose culture knowledge and beliefs that can pass down their traditions and knowledge so that we can all learn to care for Country. In my artwork I have used the idea of dreamtime on one side and then it moves into our world today with the traffic symbols of the 'white man' and the journey through words of reconciliation as we pass through this world together.
