22.01.2022 Many people are anxiously waiting to find out what Melbournes road map out of stage 4 look like. We have spent many weeks in a strict lockdown & families are eager to find out what is ahead. The anticipation impacts our mental health & for some people easing of restrictions can cause severe anxiety, particularly to those who are vulnerable. It is important to remember that despite what is released today, we will get through this. Everybody is facing uncertainty and ch...allenge and we have no choice but to move through it as best we can. We might feel angry or frustrated at other behaviours and feel the urge to rush to judgment or make comments on social media that reflect our anxiety. Its important to share concerns with people we trust but also to bear in mind that you cant control others behaviours. Whatever may be said today express your frustrations quickly and privately with someone you trust, and then let it go. Enjoy the beautiful sunny spring day that is ahead & remember we will get through this #NEST #familyclinic #clinic #covid #covid19 #lockdown #anxiety #mentalhealth #roadmap #wellness #health #elsternwick #GP #generalpractixe #psychology See more

06.01.2022 As it is World Breastfeeding Week it is important to be aware of some issues women suffer from when breastfeeding. A common medical conditions is known as Mastitis. Mastitis is usually the result of a blocked milk duct that hasnt cleared. Some of the milk banked up behind the blocked duc...t can be forced into nearby breast tissue, causing the tissue to become inflamed. One way to prevent mastitis or to treat mastitis is seeing a physiotherapist for therapeutic ultrasound & draining massage to help clear the ducts.
