23.01.2022 Good evening everyone. Can everyone please ensure that you check your match time for tomorrow on MyNetball as some changes have been made today. See you tomorrow. MPNA committee

21.01.2022 In light of the announcements regarding lockdown and restrictions in Victoria this morning, all training and games for both junior and senior teams will not continue for the next 7 days. See the attached message from Netball Victoria.

19.01.2022 An important message to remember for all our players, coaches and spectators. No umpires means no games.

19.01.2022 Hi everyone, This Saturday 8th May is Pink Lady Day. MPNA is running a couple of fundraisers. We will be selling pink donuts in the canteen from Rebel donuts for $5 with all proceeds going to Breast Cancer Aus. We will be having a bbq with egg and bacon rolls for $4.50 and sausages in Bread for $2.50. ... We will have pink balloons , scoresheets, bibs and balls. Lastly, we still need to run by Covid ruling so please make sure you social distance and check in at our QR codes. Thank you MPNA committee

17.01.2022 Unfortunately, due to the extended restrictions, there will be no outdoor competition Saturday 5th June then we have the Queens Birthday long weekend so netball will resume for Saturdays on Saturday 19th June. With the indoor competition, there will be no games on Monday 7th or Wednesday 9th As this week was semi finals and next week is due for prelim finals, we’ve decided the best decision to keep inline with dates and school holidays is to play 1 v 2 in a GF. Wednesday nights will be 16th June and Mondays will be 21st June. Nola is working on fixtures and ladders. We will contact teams with times.

17.01.2022 Please see attached information from netball Victoria. According to current guidelines, we can still run our indoor competitions on Wednesday and Monday under strict covid rules: Everyone must wear a mask indoors unless playing or umpiring (players, please wear your mask on entering and exiting the venue and up until taking the court), ALL spectators must wear a mask at all times, please keep spectators to an absolute minimum, check in upon arrival with the QR code’s provided, use hand sanitizer on entering and exiting and if you are feeling unwell in any way whatsoever please do not attend. Thanks everyone for your cooperation once again. MPNA committee

17.01.2022 It’s unfortunate that we have to post this, but to stay silent is to accept the vile behaviour. Netball Scoop stands against cyber bullying. Last’s night’s ma...licious digital attacks on Jo Harten are just a snippet of the types of behaviours athletes, coaches, umpires and clubs put up with in the name of the sport they love. But enough is enough. This type of abuse extends far beyond Super Netball or even netball in general. Athletes and supporters at every level, of every sport, put up with a barrage of online abuse from keyboard warriors. Even we, at Netball Scoop, get abused for the work we do in promoting the sport. While we are all passionate fans, there is no need for personal attacks and nastiness. And no one deserves to be victimised or feel unsafe online. Together, let’s take a stand to put an end to this type of behaviour. #westandagainstcyberbullying #athletesarehuman #enoughisenough

15.01.2022 Just a reminder to club delegates that we have our May committee meeting this Tuesday the 18th of May at 7.30pm at the clubrooms. All clubs must be represented.

06.01.2022 I really enjoy reading all people’s comments on other Netball pages. However, I am really amazed at how many people don’t actually read the rule book! They go o...nly by what others tell them! Years ago when I was a club umpires Convenor I used to listen to parents on the side line complain about the trainee umpire not picking up a rule and I was able to quote the rule number and sometimes the page number (that’s how common it was) to them! You can tell they did not know the written rule! The most common were replay, obstruction without the ball, or should I say not obstruction of defending a player without the ball. If a defender was attempting an intercept at a pass then it wasn’t obstruction! Contact! Omg! Now I am unleashing. It is only contact if it interferes with the opponents play. So brushing a person or equally challenging a ball is not contact. As both players can equally challenge the ball. Oh I will go back into my shell and stop ranting now. PLEASE READ THE RULE BOOK See more
