14.01.2022 Thought of the Week A few weeks ago, the Australian Broadcasting Commission (ABC) ran a programme on the show Catalyst that was the first of a two-part series highlighting the scam that is the worldwide cholesterol-reduction industry. The programme was well researched, included input from a number of prominent scientists and revealed many peer-reviewed studies that showed what many of us have long suspected; that there is absolutely no evidence that high cholesterol levels a...re linked to heart disease and that anti-cholesterol drugs (called statins) have minimal benefit at best, and devastating consequences at worst. The second episode last week on Catalyst, Thursday the 31st of October, and to the surprise of nobody, the medical and pharmaceutical industries are trying to have it banned. "If people stop using their statins or if they don't start them when they should be, it's very likely that it will result in deaths", railed Professor Emily Banks, who is the chair of the Advisory Committee on the Safety of Medicines. "It's likely that if this program goes ahead, and it does the warranted undermining of statins, that there will be people who don't have to have a heart attack and didn't have to die from a heart attack, who will die through reducing use of statins," she added. It is interesting that these industries attack everyone else for being unscientific, yet when hard scientific evidence is put before them that challenges their multi-billion dollar grip on the minds of the worlds masses, they just completely ignore it and begin making outrageous and unsubstantiated claims of widespread deaths. This continual fear mongering that has characterised the medical and pharmaceutical industries for over a century now is the only mechanism they have to maintain control. However, just as every despotic, insane regime that attempts to keep the masses under control through fear has learnt, knowledge will be their undoing. The fact that this programme is even going to air is evidence that the vice-like grip these scaremongers have had is weakening. Keep studying, keep researching, keep telling the truth, and keep standing up for ourselves and we may even see this their complete overthrow within our own lifetimes.

11.01.2022 Physicist, Sir Roger Penrose described the complexity of the human nervous system which controls and coordinates our entire body by saying that it would take a computer the height of the Empire State Building and the size of Texas, to manage what our brain can process with the body in a minute.

04.01.2022 Thought of the Week A major survey conducted in Australia over the past year by Roy Morgan Research raises more than a little interest and many questions. Completed by over 14,000 medical students and practitioners, it showed that medical doctors are over 8 times more likely to suffer mental illness and have suicidal thoughts than the rest of the community. Male doctors are among the heaviest drinkers in society, and female doctors are among the most anxious and depressed. ...The AMA claims that the figures reflect the long working hours and difficult conditions that doctors endure, but in my opinion that is a very shallow interpretation. There are many people who work long, hard hours without being depressed or suicidal. Having previously been part of the health care realm for many years as a chiropractor, I can state from first-hand experience that one of the biggest causes of distress in health care is the failure to live up to unreasonable expectations. Expectations created by unsustainable claims and public education programmes that mislead people into thinking that they can accurately judge the effectiveness of a treatment by how they feel afterwards. That isnt only an insane idea, it obviously drives those propagating it towards insanity. Anyone seeking a rewarding career free from such distress and anxiety need look no further than NeuroSpinology. -A Tremain

02.01.2022 SERIES on OUR EXISTENCE (The Nervous System) Part Three We all know of someone that all of a sudden "kicked the bucket" when we all thought that particular pers...on was perfectly fit and healthy. Never had a sick day in his life or ran marathons every so often. From one text book to another about the human body, it all says a lot about what we (humans) think each structure of the body is for. Sometimes changing details as our bodies evolve with each edition published. High blood pressure gets an average lower than before, we all adopt an extra lobe of the liver or become over/under weight without even changing weight (calculated as an average within a sample group). So one question is; what can we do to help us know we are functioning/performing the way we should? Another question is; if we are evolving, do we wait for the next edition of a text book to tell us OR provide the very system that coordinates our cells, tissues, organs and glands to evolve with a better environment to do so. We'll let you think about that...
