23.01.2022 In June, we celebrate World Environment Day and it is a great time to acknowledge the important work Ramsay Health Care has been doing to reduce our impact on the planet. Over the past year we have replaced 16 million single use plastic items with sustainable options. 23.01.2022 June is Bowel Cancer Awareness Month As the second deadliest cancer in Australia, bowel cancer claims the lives of 5,336 Australians every year (103 a week), including 272 people under the age of 50. It’s the deadliest cancer for young people aged 25-34 years and tends to be diagnosed late when cancer has spread and is harder to treat. 99% of bowel cancer cases can be treated successfully if found early but fewer than 50% are detected early.... 11.01.2022 New Day Program: Compassion-Focused Therapy New Farm Clinic will launching a new group therapy program for day patients around ‘Compassion Focused therapy’ which draws from evolutionary, social, developmental and Buddhist psychology, and neuroscience. Compassionate mind training may help people develop and work with experiences of inner warmth, safeness and soothing.... This day program is designed to help those requiring assistance with treatment-resistant mood disorders such as depression and anxiety especially harsh self-criticism.
