We were honoured to sha...re the occasion with our long-time friend, Australian composer and multi-instrumentalist, William Barton, who joined us on stage to open each performance with his original composition, 'Didge Fusion'. We’re pleased to premiere a special recording of this remarkable and moving piece. 'Didge Fusion' features Barton on vocals, guitar and didgeridoo, joined by members of the ACO. 10.01.2022 HONEYSUCKLE UNI CAMPUS GOING UP Construction is progressing on the University of Newcastle's Honeysuckle City Campus building, with the structural concr...ete core almost complete. The $25 million build began just as the coronavirus crisis was unfolding in early 2020. The Honeysuckle building will be home to an Integrated Innovation Network Hub and new facilities for the School of Creative Industries. Once the concrete core is complete the next step will be installing the cross-laminated timber frame - the first building in Newcastle to use the innovative material. It'll be encased in high tech electrochromic glass, providing automatic tinting to maintain comfort levels inside during the brightest and warmest times of day. It's due to be finished mid 2021.

W...e can all make a difference to anyone who’s struggling by having regular, meaningful conversations about life. If you feel like something’s up with someone you know, trust that gut instinct and take the time to ask them how they’re going. This year, we are sending out teams of rovers to hand out sunflowers and cookies as a small but honest reminder that you're never alone. Students at Callaghan can grab a free BBQ lunch in the Auchmuty Courtyard from midday, and there'll be live music and entertainment across Callaghan, Ourimbah and NUspace campuses.
