There are legal aspects to be managed and a good Celebrant will offer compassion, empathy and support when needed, to help family and friends celebrate significant events. The now Mr & Mrs Caban had their plans, location, guest list and location (again) change in the lead up to their wedding with the introduction and easing of COVID restrictions but they ended up with the best location to celebrate with family and friends! A big effort to set up and pull down - but their family friends’ property was such a beautiful backdrop to host their ceremony and reception

20.01.2022 ELOPEMENTS - What’s involved? With COVID restrictions in place, many couples are opting for a smaller scale wedding or elopement (and some just prefer a less formal gathering!) My small wedding package caters for ceremonies with up to 20 guests.... The legal process is the same as for any other civil marriage, you must complete your Notice of Intended Marriage at least a month prior to your wedding date. I will need to sight your original birth certificates or valid passport, divorce papers where necessary and photo ID. If you are looking to elope, only 5 people need to attend your ceremony. The couple getting married, your celebrant and two witnesses who are over the age of 18. Of course, you can have some more of your nearest and dearest if you wish. There were just five of us in attendance and the newlyweds were heading off to the regular family Sunday dinner to announce and celebrate their marriage!
