10.02.2022 We are unable to accept any new orders for tomorrow, Thursday or Friday. Our apologies. There will still be stock available at the shop over the next three days though amounts per purchase may have to be limited. We will see you again on Tuesday 4th January. 07.02.2022 Dear customers who are thinking of ordering Christmas goods for next week. Friday (Christmas Eve) orders are now oversubscribed and we can't take any more orders for that day. There is still a little room for orders for pick-up for next Thursday. Alternately, you can still get limited supplies from the shop stock on these two days. Thank you all for your appreciation of our products, and sorry we can't physically produce more at this time of year.

23.01.2022 Exciting times ahead for NFB if we get a good response from Melbourne at the GF Expo - first weekend in October. If we can establish a major presence in Melbourne, then Bendigo will also greatly benefit. Stay tuned!

23.01.2022 All we can tell you at this stage is that 89 out of 110 preferred our bread in this blind taste test. The three big companies shared the other 21 first preferences between them. The biggest criticism of our bread was that it was too soft and light. Obviously we take this criticism as a positive!

19.01.2022 Good morning loyal New Freedom customers, get into the Christmas spirit with our range of gluten free Christmas treats. Our range includes from the traditional fruit cake to some fruit mince pies, all the way to the shortbread trees and don't forget about the pudding. 18.01.2022 A record breaking attendance at the GF Expo, thousands of samples of our product given away to surprised customers and 110 who sat down and took the blind taste-test of the 4 GF breads from different companies. Two of these breads came from the popular big 2 in Australia (George Weston's ABBOTT'S, and Goodman Fielder's HELGAS) as well as the big UK company's GENIUS.

17.01.2022 We're kicking off with Easter Buns one week earlier that advertised. So our first batch will be out of the oven Tuesday 3rd March from 9.30am (ish). As usual we will have 105 buns per day (Tues-Sat) available until Easter week (Tues 7th April-Thurs 9th April). There is a 6 per person per day limit, and we can't put any aside for customers. Neither do we take orders for them apart from the final two days before Easter Friday. Pre-paid orders will be available for Wednesday 8th and Thursday 9th. These pre-paid orders do not have any limits other than they must b in batches of 6 buns. We hope you are the lucky ones to get (arguably) the best GF buns in the universe! ....Just putting it out there....

16.01.2022 To give customers extra time to purchase fresh goods for Christmas and to get through till January, we're opening on the Monday as well as Tuesday (Christmas Eve) this year. We hope this takes the pressure off a bit at this busy time!

15.01.2022 Just to add to and be clear about the previous post... we have closed from today (Friday 28th) till the 1st October. We are not even open tomorrow Saturday... so we can start the big task of clearing out large sections of the bakery ready for tradesmen next week.

15.01.2022 We're making cakes and other Christmas goodies available from a lot earlier this year as in recent years. So we're not actually taking orders but making the Christmas goodies available on a daily basis right up to Christmas. We'll let you know on Facebook as soon as the first wave arrives.

This is extremely short notice and we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience it will cause you... again.... but the bakery has to close for the next 4 weeks (re-opening on Thursday 1st October). The old building we rent needs some serious repairs and renovation work to enable us to serve you into the distant future and we only recently were able to book in a range of busy trades to get this work done in just 4 weeks. So we couldn't even give fair warning to enable you to top-up your supplies. We trust that your alternative GF bakery supplies will get you by till we return. Once again, sorry for the extra annoyances to add to the annoying covid situation.
