14.01.2022 New Horizons for Health will not be administering phase 1a or 1b of the covid19 vaccine. We will be invited by QLD Health to order when phase 2a rolls out. We do not know when this offer will come or when we will receive these vaccines however a post will be put out along with notification on our website for you to book www.newhorizonspd.com.au so please do not call our reception to ask as we know as much as you do. If you would like to get your vaccine sooner elsewhere, go to the health direct eligibility checker to find your closest clinic https://covid-vaccine.healthdirect.gov.au/

12.01.2022 Greetings Patients, Friends and Family. Please be aware we are doing our best in this hectic and ever changing time to help as many as we can, so we really appreciate your patience, kind words and understanding. Infection Control for COVID-19 is being taken very seriously to stop the spread in our community. We have done our best to socially distance our waiting area with seating placed apart and extra chairs outdoors. Our waiting room being open and airy so no doors need to... be touched upon entry or exit. We have provided hand sanitizer at the front door before entry, in our waiting room and at our front reception to keep your hands squeaky clean. Non stop sanitizing of all surfaces in the centre and removal of our magazines and kids toys and the good old wooden horse has been actioned. We have also taken on a lot more phone consultations with our patients to clear the waiting rooms of any crowding and unnecessary visits. Please be aware that as of Monday 30/03/2020 all doctors can have phone consultations with their patients that do not need a face to face consult. Please let us know if you would like to alter your appointment to be one of these, we will eventually call you anyhow to offer this service the day prior. Please if you are showing any signs of cold or flu symptoms, we ask you call us and have a consultation over the phone as we are trying to keep any illness away from our centre as you can understand.
