22.01.2022 Dear Customers, I wanted to take a few minutes to clarify a situation we have been asked about many times over the last few weeks...why do some deliveries take so long lately? The answer comes down to a few reasons, and all are basically linked to the situation we currently have with the Stage 4 Lockdown in Melbourne.... Please take into account: - We have less staff available due to some having reservations about working while COVID-19 is present. - Our deliveries have increased by over double as many people choose to stay indoors. - Everything after 8pm is now to be delivered only, which means every order is now effectively a delivery order after 8. - While our drivers go as fast as they legally can, there are more speed cameras and police on the road than ever. They must be extremely cautious while driving at present. - Online orders are booming as more people use apps to order their food. Many are first time customers and their addresses are new to our drivers. - Several shops in our area have temporarily closed due to the lockdown. Inevitably these customers find other shops to buy from, including Newlands, and we then have to guide them as to what is on our menu and also take into account special requests for delivery (go to the back garage, ring me first etc) - Finally, we do deliver to quite a large radius in the northern suburbs. A lot wider than most shops would accept. We do that so everyone that wants to order from Newlands can. But that comes with it's issues as well. Almost everyone wants their food cooked and delivered in 20 minutes max, but they may not take into account that they actually live 20 minutes away and we still have to make and cook their food first. In general, the majority or customers have been amazing and understanding. The Lockdown has presented some unique challenges and we feel we have done our best to work through them. We all appreciate your support and look forward to continue serving you all hot, delicious pizza for many years to come. - Faouzi Co-owner and Manager

13.01.2022 Good News for All Our Customers! The Victorian Government has advised that from tonight, Monday September 14, customers within a 5km radius can pick up their food orders until 9pm. Pick up orders can be made by calling us directly on 9350 5158 or by using Door Dash, Deliveroo, Menulog or Uber Eats.

Weve had many requests to increase our delivery zone during the Stage 4 Lockdown, so weve now increased our delivery zone to 8km from our location with delivery via Uber Eats. ... Simply use the Uber Eats app to order your delivery, and you can now order from suburbs like Flemington, Thomastown, Lalor, Fitzroy, Northcote, Glenroy and Essendon, along with our usual delivery zone. Please keep in mind this offer is being made available to help more customers during the Lockdown and Curfew, and only available when you order via Uber Eats.
