25.01.2022 Our 2nd little squish to choose December 16th as their birthing day Isn’t he just divine? This first time mama started the day with a visit to her Midwife for some reassurance and a pep talk after a few sleepless nights. Merely 8 hours later she was birthing, and catching, her speedy babe at home next to the Christmas tree. Watching this labour unfold was truly magical. ... Witnessing Mumma follow her instincts in undisturbed birth was awesome! We were privileged to look on and walk by their side as two new parents navigated labour as it quickly established, transitioned into birthing babe en caul through water, and ended with tea and toast, laughs and snuggles. The oxytocin high radiating from Mumma’s beaming smile and sheer ecstatic elation was palpable and infectious. Congratulations to this New Life family, and welcome earthside darling boy Photography First Glance Photography

25.01.2022 These absolutely delightful captures are shared with permission from an incredible woman. Seconds after birth receiving his cord blood, and then in his favourite place, chest to chest with Mumma. This little guy shook things up a bit, wiggling into a breech position at 34 weeks. He must have really liked that cosy spot because his Mummy tried every single trick under the sun to no avail. Many weeks of navigating the changes this could bring to birth, riding the highs and th...e lows with grace, and becoming fully informed and educated in every sense of the word ensued. All that was left was to surrender and let little man lead the way and tell us how he would be born. And that he did. The proud first time parents welcomed their deliciously perfect little boy via planned caesarean. Thank you to the team at RBWH in their support of breech vaginal birth, so that this family could feel they had options. Congratulations to this New Life family! And welcome earthside darling boy

24.01.2022 WARNING: The temperature under the canopy of an enclosed pram can be up to 15 degrees hotter than outside Keep your baby cool and in the shade as much as possible.

24.01.2022 This was asked of the health minister a year ago. Women are still not getting enough access to continuity of midwifery care across the state and country. Private midwives are available to a very small percentage. It’s time governments stepped up. States need to fund MGP and Birth Centres. Federal needs to fix Medicare rebates to enable real choice for women to birth with a private midwife either in hospital or at home

24.01.2022 A little late with this birth announcement, but better late than never! Another babe wanted to keep his mumma waiting and guessing. So much so he had a little encouragement to make his way into the world. After being handed his eviction notice with release of his waters, Mums clever body knew what to do and speedily jumped into action, birthing her son only hours later. A VBAC and Mums first labour, just as shed worked so hard mentally and physically preparing for. ... We often say birth is like running a marathon. Mum being a triathlete assures me it was not - it was harder. Yet she smiled and moved and sung her way through labour. Working with the intensity instead of against it, overcoming each fear that presented itself and tried to stand in her way. Raw, gritty, primal. It was an honour to witness such a powerful birth. A darling son and little brother to an eagerly waiting 10yo big sister. Congratulations family! Love from the NLM team x

24.01.2022 ** Birth Announcement ** One clever little girl knew that she had to change her plans before being able to meet her family. After hanging out on one side for many weeks and with a head that was well on its way down she very skilfully retracted and spent a day and a half turning over to the other side, helped along by irregular surges while her Mama studied for exams. By the time her midwife came by the clever little girl had finished her rotation. With only irregular surges t...o help with the final journey down the birth canal, her midwife headed home thinking it would still be a while. Not long after the surges intensified and the girl started her decent. So efficient was she that her midwife barely got home before having to turn around. The pool was filled as two of her sisters made it home in time to support their Mama with cool facecloths and drink bottles. Breathing beautifully with every surge, while dad did some hip squeezes to help with the last bit of descent, it did not take long before this strong Mama could greet her youngest baby girl. Gently she swam out into the warm water of the pool and the loving arms of her family. Her sisters were thrilled to find out they now had 'another one', as no one knew if this baby was a girl until she emerged. As her 2 year-old sister loudly announced: ‘I like having sisters!’. Huge congratulations to this lovely family from your midwives and the NLM team. Photo shared with permission See more

23.01.2022 ***Birth Announcement*** If this mumma’s birth could be best expressed, it would be this beautiful belly art she created It was colourful, unique and flowing, reflecting love, peace and happiness. Mumma prepared so well to completely surrender to her power and trust that everything would be well. And when that time came, each surge brought along after it a powerful realise of endorphins... each wave building on the next. Hand in hand and head to head with her doting partner..., she swayed gently in the pool, singing her birth song.... smiling and giggling her way to the moment their fourth child was born calmly through water and safely into their arms at home. Big brother and sister woke up not long after to discover It’s a GIRL!. We are glad both siblings approve of the not so little sister Much love and congratulations to the wonderful couple on the arrival of your fourth NLM baby. Love from your oxytocin high midwives

22.01.2022 One little girl kept her mumma in suspense.... all she was waiting for was to share a birthday with big sister! The babe very kindly waited until after the celebrations had finished before she decided to make her grand entrance. The birthing mumma knew she was coming fast on the drive in and about an hour after arriving into the birth suite, mumma ever so calmly sang her birth song and breathed baby earthside into Dads hands....almost en caul. Congratulations and much love to the wonderful family on your new arrival.

22.01.2022 Here's your happy Thursday moment! You're welcome

21.01.2022 ** Birth Announcement ** Another of our wonderful NLM families are celebrating this week A few days ago, this little bub let her Mama know she was ready to be born by popping her bag of waters. Labour took a little while to get going but when it did, Mama’s body knew exactly what to do. Little babe was not quite sure however, rotating in several different directions before she figured which way to go. These rotations can make birth challenging to navigate, but this strong ...Mama stuck with it and gave it her all. As babe made her way through the birth canal, midwife Jo was a little worried about her heart rate and thanks her colleagues at Ipswich hospital for their support. She needn’t have worried - babe gave a big cry, even before the rest of her body was born Congratulations to our newest NLM family on the birth of their gorgeous daughter (Photo shared with permission)

21.01.2022 Video of one family's journey to a special birth. Its so wonderful that women share their unique stories. Thank you so much to this warrior!

21.01.2022 **Birth Announcement** (belated - apologies from Midwife Jo!) On a Saturday morning a short time ago, this dear little man let his Mum know he was ready to be born. Surges came over the course of the day, fluctuating in frequency and intensity. Both Mum and Babe riding out the natural course of birth as it evolved. Later that night, labour truly declared itself. Mum used all of her birthing toolkit to manage her surges with wonderful love and support from her family. In the e...arly hours of the next morning, moving from one position to another (babe made his Mum work hard!), birth was almost upon us. Some fresh eyes from Midwife Hazel and it wasn't long before babe was earth side. A beautiful and much longed for little boy for these first time parents. As you can see from the pics (shared with permission), this little one had some trouble transitioning from inside to outside... but with assistance from our colleagues at Ipswich Hospital, this wonderful new family are home and well. Much love and congratulations from the NLM team See more

21.01.2022 Women benefit so much from good midwifery support not just for pregnancy and birth, but for those challenging early postnatal days too.

21.01.2022 A beautiful homebirth shared with love. Birth is a wonderful family celebration!

21.01.2022 Help! If you have any books or videos lying around which were borrowed from New Life's collection, and you no longer need them, please return to clinic for other clients?? (It's easy to forget so please don't stress about it x) A BIG THANK YOU from the midwives!! x

21.01.2022 All blissed out in his starfish position, it’s hard to think this little man was tucked up in a ball in his warm womb home only a couple of weeks ago. The time has flown by - he is so new yet it feels he’s been here forever. A complete 180 change in birthing plans is what this cutie needed, with pre-eclampsia throwing a spanner in the works at 40 weeks. But with the loving support of her husband, a known Midwife and Student Midwife walking beside her, and the tools she had l...earned along the way, Mum took on the challenge, twists and turns effortlessly. The honour of watching this baby’s birth was like seeing nature in it’s most clever form, the body and baby dyad working together to navigate labour, and to tell us when it knows best. Mother’s intuitive knowing as the communicator and advocate for her body and baby. A first child, a son, to two very doting parents Thank you for allowing us on this journey with you and congratulations to this New Life Midwifery family!

20.01.2022 REMINDER... Birth Prep Group is on tomorrow (Wednesday 19th) morning! 10 - 11.30am Tomorrow’s group will explore how our brains perceive pain and methods with which we can adapt this to support comfort and physiology during labour and birth. Then one of our Mama’s will share her birth story ... We look forward to seeing you there

20.01.2022 Birth Announcement! Almost a week ago, a darling little boy decided hed kept his Mummy waiting long enough and released his waters. Mum popped big brother down for the night and fed him to sleep, knowing it might be her last time breastfeeding only one child. ... Surges began to niggle, though short and not demanding too much focus. Until they did. After just a few powerful surges, Mumma knew baby was coming. Luckily the Midwifes broomstick was working this night as she arrived in the nick of time to help Grandma pass her grandbaby through to Mums arms. After weeks of preparing the most beautiful and thought out birth space, birthing on the loungeroom floor was not a part of the plan. This little fella left no time for a birth pool or change of scenery, but boy did he fill the hearts of this beautiful family, now a family of four. An intervention free birth, completely led by Mum and baby, in the family home where they could be tucked up into bed together. Exactly as planned congratulations to our newest NLM family

19.01.2022 Birth Announcement 2/3 One evening last week this little baby decided to let her Mum know it was time to be born - except she couldnt quite figure out what direction she needed to go! Her birth preparation helped Mum to use her positioning skills to guide baby through the pelvis, but for a long time it seemed like baby was reluctant to get the message. ... Mum remained strong, breathing through her surges and trusting in her ability to birth. At long last, baby was in the right spot and was in such a hurry to be born she took everyone by surprise! A beautiful baby girl for two strong and resilient parents, with two big brothers waiting patiently to meet her Congratulations from your NLM midwives

18.01.2022 Studies comparing outcomes with a midwife versus a doctor consistently find that midwives are the better bet for women at low risk for complications. Women with... complicated pregnancies may need a doctor, but ALL women benefit from the approach to care midwives usually take. 18.01.2022 Wise words from a wonderful midwife and friend Robyn Thompson.

18.01.2022 I've been asked to give a Keynote address at a conference for obstetricians later this year, in the hope that I can push for change. I'd like to give the audien...ce a sense of what women experience in relation to intrapartum CTG monitoring. There's not a lot of research on this. If you have a story you would permit me to share I'd be grateful. I'm particularly interested in hearing from women who have experienced central fetal monitoring and would like to hear about whether your birth choices were respected and supported. 17.01.2022 We were very sad to farewell this family for the second time. Midwife Caitlin has been lucky enough to care for them during both pregnancies and births of their sweet little daughters. An honour only equaled by baby Amiahs middle name, Caitlin.

17.01.2022 Thanks so much Charlotte from Benefiting Birthing and Beyond for wrapping up Birth Prep for 2020! What a year it has been! It’s been wonderful having you all back in person

17.01.2022 Saturdays downpour brought on a birth tsunami! Heres announcement 1/3! Look at those little baby toes peeping out from the sling Student Midwife Diana had the honour of catching this wee bub, and just in the nick of time!... Our Midwives supporting another Mumma on her birthing journey, while others niggled waiting in line, were utterly taken by surprise when this little one decided he was going to queue jump. A phone call to Midwife Caitlin to say things were starting, a quick shuffle around of Midwives, and only 90 minutes later he speedily joined us earthside. Midwives and student all present to witness his incredible mother breathe through labour ever so gently. She made it look easy, yet possessed the Goddess like power and strength physiological home birth allows us to witness. Nanny rightfully celebrated the evening with a few wines while the Midwives sipped on herbal tea and Mumma snuggled in with her new babe in the family lounge room. Congratulations and love to our (not quite) newest NLM family

16.01.2022 **Birth Announcement** Hard to believe this gorgeous little bundle is a week old. He gave Mum and Dad a huge surprise jumping from the September queue to August! His house inside the womb sprung a leak and while he was quick to the front of the queue he slowed to work with his mumma over a few nights as the surges peaked with the moon and faded with the sun. The birthing mummas patience, strength and resilience shone through over those days and with a little nudge, the bab...e arrived safely and gently....shooting out at great speed in the end! The tears of joy this Mum and Dad shared after 10 years of dreaming about this moment was so contagious there wasnt a dry eye in the house! Congratulations and much love to the wonderful couple on the arrival of your first born. Lots of love from your midwives

15.01.2022 **Birth Announcement** Here’s another cutie taking his first peek at the world outside the womb! What we have planned, isn’t always what’s planned for us. So when this little one threw Mum and Dad a curve ball, the birthing mumma used her strength and intuition to change plans but still trust her body....she KNEW she could...and she did. In a dimly lit bathroom she stood, showered and squatted, working beautifully with her baby. While she couldn’t quite believe how quickly... he was arriving, in two surges she calmly breathed her son out into her arms. Congratulations and much love to the gorgeous family on the arrival of your third son. We are glad big brothers approve! Photo credit First Glance Photography

13.01.2022 It has been another busy few days for the NLM midwives! **Birth Announcement** Having navigated extensive challenges through pregnancy, this empowered Mama came to her birth equipped with knowledge, commitment and resilience. As labour began and progressed through the night, Mama was met with new experiences, taking them all in her stride. As morning came, this (not so little) babe found her own way to tell everyone it was time and was soon earthside. 13.01.2022 Another 6 week discharge has come too quick! Its been such a wonderful experience caring for this beautiful family as they navigated pregnancy, birth, breastfeeding and becoming parents! They seriously made it all look easy

13.01.2022 In the early hours of Sunday morning this gorgeous little man triggered strong surges in his cosy womb home. Mumma responded, rocking in rhythm with him, gently singing her birth song with dad beside her. Her midwife team gathered, the birth pool filled in the family home. Hips were squeezed, mumma moved, squats and lunges worked until finally back in the pool it was time to meet their beautiful son. Congratulations to all the family on your 2nd NLM birth. It’s been an absolute honour to be there with you

13.01.2022 It’s been very special walking with this lovely mumma twice as she grew and gave birth to her gorgeous children, almost 9 years apart but both in a pool in her own home space. There’s been lots of fun and laughter, and a few tears along the way, but there intense pride in witnessing a young woman become a strong and empowered mother. Thank you for trusting me to be your midwife, 6 week discharge came round way too fast , looking forward to seeing Ivy grow over the next months at groups

12.01.2022 **Birth Announcement** Early last week these gorgeous little feet made an entrance in the world....on a Tuesday at 39+3 weeks, exactly like big sister. His birth journey (and size ) was much different though and just after big sister went to kindy, he decided it was time. Dad returned from drop off, the midwives arrived and the birth pool was ready to go. The beautiful mumma looked like a goodness as she sang her birth song while her wee one stayed in his caul until the ...last minute before being scooped up through water by the couple. Time stood still as they shared a moment with gentle touches, kisses and happy tears in celebration of the birth of their son at home. Within a few hours big sister was bursting through the door looking for my baby brother! Much love and congratulations to the wonderful family on your second NLM baby. Lady and The Hound Photography

12.01.2022 I just had to use this image (artist unknown) to announce our next birth. The poise, strength... and beautiful long flowing hair of this divine woman embodies the Mother we were privileged to witness birth her first child last week. After digging deep and finding every ounce of patience in her body, Mumma started the journey of bringing her baby earthside at almost 42 weeks. Being teased through the day and night of the full moon, surges starting and fading, starting and fad...ing. With nothing but courage, she decided her birth space no longer felt right and a little encouragement was needed. A decision far from anything the family had hoped and prepared for, together they navigated the challenges and adapted to the turns birthing can take. It was tough, but Mum was tougher. It was unknown, but Mum stayed in the lead. Her head space and physical space held by her adoring husband at every minute. The Midwives were honoured to witness the incredible strengths of this family in bringing their darling daughter into their safe, loving arms. A week on, we are so pleased to know they are in the comfort of their own home and bub is thriving on her mothers amazing milk. Congratulations and love to this New Life family

11.01.2022 Women are humans and have RIGHTS! ...Especially when they are vulnerable and giving birth.... Everyone working in the birthing space MUST DO at least 3 things REALLY WELL: 1. LISTEN to the woman 2. PROVIDE EXPLANATIONS ... 3. BE KIND. I refuse to believe this is impossible or difficult in ANY birthplace - even highly medicalized "birth suites". 10.01.2022 **Birth Announcement** We’ve kept this under wraps too long! This little fella has been enjoying farm life out at Kalbar for a little while now. Despite the overwhelm, grief and fear at times after their daughter was born with wings, this birthing Mumma summoned all of her strength to trust that after the storm, there would be a rainbow. With the unwavering support of her partner, they navigated each step of this baby’s journey with love and courage.... In the wee hours one Saturday morning the little man gave his mum a clue things were starting. Over the day and into the night her body was filled with waves of oxytocin. Mumma was so quiet and focused as baby made her move and sway....in and out of the water. She lunged, squatted and rested as he navigated his way. Then the moment they had been waiting for arrived... their beautiful boy was safely and gently earthside. Filling her arms and their hearts with love, hope and joy. Much love and congratulations to the wonderful couple on the arrival of your son. We know big sister Connie will be watching over you all. Thank you for opening up your hearts to us.

08.01.2022 ** Birth Announcement ** Mum had a feeling that this cheeky babe would appear before his due date and she was right! After some initial signs this morning, labour really got going this afternoon. Mum coped brilliantly using the shower, staying calm and allowing birth to progress. And progress it did, with midwife Jo arriving only just in time! This little one’s waters only broke as he arrived, with midwife Jo needing to peel his sac from his face for him to realize he was earth side A second Son for his parents and the newest member of a well established NLM family Congratulations to all

08.01.2022 *** Birth Announcement *** The NLM midwives have been very busy in the last couple of weeks, with no less than 7 babies in 10 days!!! Bear with us as we catch up on announcing their arrival One adorable little girl gave her Mama a bit of warning, one week after her due date, something she hadn't had with her two older brothers. This also gave her midwife, and student midwife, a chance to tackle school pick- up traffic and still make it in time...just. In the warm pool, ...set up in their lounge room, this Mama breathed beautifully with every surge, surrounded by the women of the family and the attentive dad. Once this little baby girl decided it was time to meet them all, a few strong surges was all it took before she swam out and into her Mama's arms. The doting family made sure that Mama and baby was soon tucked up in bed, and not long after two very excited brothers arrived to meet their brand new baby sister. A wonderful and powerful homebirth, and such a privilege to be part of Congratulations and love to you all from the NLM team (Photo shared with permission)

08.01.2022 It seems September/October have been the months of speedy births, and Midwife Caitlin being a bit of a birth hog with four births to announce. The first was the euphoric birth of a second time Mummy in the family home. Even speedier than her first birth, Mumma knew how to listen to her body and slow things down, exclaiming this is so right! as the surges rolled over her. Supported by her husband, Midwife and Doula who were in awe. Standing in a Goddess pose she brought her... baby boy into her arms. A second delightful son. Merely a few days later, a first time Mum who planned to birth in hospital came to know the power of a speedy birth also. Birthing in the family home only an hour after realising ‘this is labour’. Adapting to the change in plans so effortlessly, Mumma gazed at her newborn daughter and exclaimed that was a workout!. Of course when it rains, it pours, and the week wouldn’t be complete without a third birth to see it out. Another second time Mum and her husband spent the day chilling out in their new home and beautiful garden in full Spring bloom, waiting for the sporadic prangs of early labour to become something. As the sun set, and with the release of her waters, all of a sudden their daughter decided it was the perfect time to be born, and came in quite the hurry, also in her planned birth space in the family home. A little sister for a very proud big brother. After giving the Midwives a little break to catch our breath, restock and regather, the fourth little babe was ready. Releasing her Mumma’s waters straight after a session with the chiro. Though planning to birth at home, meconium in the waters meant a last minute change of plans. No labour in sight yet but we knew it wouldn’t be far off. Using her hypnobirthing skills to adapt to her baby’s needs so calmly, Mum met her Midwives at hospital and it only took the drive in to establish labour. Mum and Dad smiling and laughing as they prepared their birthing space, it wasn’t long until this darling babe speedily made her entrance into this world, caught by her own Daddy. Another little sister to a very excited big brother (and fur babies). 1 wee boy and 3 darling girls Every birth just as unique and powerful in it’s own way. Every one of them reminding us of the blessings that come with the work we do being with women.

07.01.2022 In keeping with the weather, it’s raining NLM babies again! **Birth announcement #1** This little babe gave Mum the heads up yesterday evening that her arrival was soon to occur. A ‘textbook’ latent phase of labour which Mum coped with calmly while babe jiggled into the right position. Once she realized what direction she was headed, this little one wasted no time, obviously wanting to be the first NLM baby today! Letting Mum know it was time to go, all were soon on the road ...and ready to meet this beautiful girl. Shortly after arrival at hospital, babe was expertly born into the waiting hands of her new Dad and midwife. Congratulations to this incredible family, midwife Jo is super proud! 07.01.2022 ** birth announcement ** This stunning little boy teased everyone for days about when he would pick his birthday. Finally he triggered regular powerful surges in his mumma, her team of midwives and photographer gathered, daddy and big sisters filled the pool, having already prepared the birthing space with affirmations and Christmas decorations, and we all watched in awe as she quickly and gently welcomed him earthside through water. I’m almost convinced that’s a smile on his face as he looks up at his mumma for the first time. Congratulations and much love to you all from your proud and happy midwives

04.01.2022 As we see out the big week which brought 5 little cherubs earthside, I’d like to announce a very special addition to the New Life family. Welcome darling Cali ~ Great Granddaughter of our very own founding Midwife, Hazel. Here she is in all her beauty, nestled on Hazel’s own scales. Cali’s birth has left us all beaming with pride in her incredible Mumma. Yesterday morning, she decided this Christmas thing sounded too good and she didn’t want to miss out. Cali surprised her ...Mummy by releasing her waters as the day began. Mumma worked so beautifully with her body and baby as surges quickly started to build. By early evening, the intensity of surges paired with Mumma’s calm and soft nature allowed baby girl to start her journey. Not long after, with the help of a warm birth pool, hip squeezes and some strategic position changes, Midwife Caitlin & Midwife Hazel watched on in awe as Mumma gently breathed her baby down and birthed through water, bringing her first born child into her arms. Darling Cali has been blessed with the most loving parents and is enjoying their warm skin to skin cuddles, surrounded by adoring family. Congratulations Mum & Dad! It has been an honour and joy to witness you grow and birth your daughter First Glance Photography (Great Aunty of Cali)

04.01.2022 Here we are at a 6 week discharge visit. Again. What a wonderful journey we’ve shared with this lovely family for a second time, 9 years apart and all the better for the long wait. Great to see big sister enjoying every moment with her little brother. Can’t wait to see you all at groups over the next months

03.01.2022 Just a reminder that NLM Birth Preparation group starts at 10am this Wednesday morning! This week the lovely Jess is coming to join the midwives to talk about using hypnobirthing techniques for labour and birth. One of our lovely clients will then share her birth story. 03.01.2022 Birth announcement #3 There’s something about Wednesday’s at NLM....whilst the last two announcements talked of babies in a hurry on the 16th, our 3rd one for the day knew she wanted to enjoy every last moment in her delux womb home. She waited till the 11th hour to pick her day, just missing out on getting an eviction notice. Then her strong mumma engaged all her birthing skills, and with the constant support of Daddy and Aunty, worked gently and steadily throughout the night and day and into the new night to finally encourage their beautiful 2nd daughter to come earth side and into her arms. What a marathon! What an amazing birthing goddess! Many congratulations and lots of love to you all from your proud, happy and a tad tired midwives

03.01.2022 **Birth Announcement** The midwives have been keeping a tiny secret for almost 2 weeks... Right on her due date, in daylight hours, this beautiful first time mumma had an irregular wave of surges, making her wiggle and jiggle. A midwife herself, her baby suprised her by just how quickly he was arriving in the family home!... With her own midwife and loving partner by her side, she trusted her body to take over while she was in the still of the warm water of the birth pool. And in no time at all the mumma had another surprise as baby’s head appeared and 10 minutes later was in her arms! A proud Dad announced they had a son Congratulations to the wonderful couple on the arrival of your first born. We hope that Mia (the dog) has settled in with her new brother and talking to you again now Much love from your midwives

02.01.2022 Before announcing our three new babes that came as a tidal wave on the weekend, we MUST share this photo of a darling 6 week old babe and her beautiful Mummy. For those that follow along, this is the sweet babe that was brought up from the birth pool through a bed of rose petals. So perfectly fitting. Another sad farewell - they never get easier. So much love and best wishes to this family xx Thank you for choosing us.

02.01.2022 A message for our clients! If you have a copy of "Birth Skills" or other books/DVDs borrowed from New Life, PLEASE return to the clinic ASAP!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!

01.01.2022 This lovely mumma and baby reached their birthing journey 6 month discharge at groups on Wednesday. I have no idea how the weeks, months and years disappear . But I do know it’s been an honour and heaps of fun to walk beside the family for two of their three gorgeous children.

01.01.2022 Birth Announcement 3/3 In the early hours of Saturday morning this not so little man let his mum know he was ready, triggering gentle surges. As the day progressed, the midwives thought wed have 3 babies arrive with only 6 hours between them. But whilst babies 1 and 2 chose 25th as their date, this tricky boy wanted his very own date For many hours our birthing goddess, (just like she did with his big sister), used every birth skill there is to encourage him to find th...e best position. With each powerful and frequent surge she worked calmly, surrounded by her loving family. Not once did she waver in her determination or trust Finally, as the sun came up on a new day, all the hard work was rewarded with his arrival earthside. Safe and sound in his mothers embrace. Congratulations to you all, and much love from your very proud midwives. With many thanks to our colleagues at IGH See more
